The Wings didn't show up for this game. It just sucks that I watched this game instead of doing something else tonight, because if I had known they weren't going to give a strong effort, I wouldn't have bothered.

BUT---- this type of a game at 3-1 and us with no energy, is exactly why you need a gritty/ energy guy. No, Kirk Maltby, doesn't count.

1.) You don't know it's his knee.

2.) They showed his last shift and it definately wasn't anything serious. Maybe a tweak or something

3.) The team doctor was on the bench the entire period, so you know it isn't serious.

The team looks completely lethargic out there. They say they are thankful that Babcock gave them all day Christmas off and instead, left this morning for the game. If they don't get playing in this third period, Babcock might have to reevaluate that decision for next year.

Dan Cleary has played 8.5 minutes. Hudler has played 9. Sammy has played 11. Franzen has played 11.5. Why does Babcock preach accountability yet reward listless play with more minutes than our best forwards tonight?

another horrible effort period again.. I really don't think we can come back tonight.

Same with last two seasons. We are just too normal when we play against the Preds. Last season and playoff, we could not beat Ellis at all.

Still same with now.

It does not look the problem of talent, roster, or other things.

Wings just look totally out and bringing up no effort.

Now, Lids is also out. I don't know how long Lids is out for but if Lids is out for long time, we will have a harsh time...
