The stupidest thing I've heard all game is one ofthe commentators trying to say that Datsyuk's goal was all wind. Wind apparently is strong enough to carry you through three defenseman while puckhandling and shooting it through the knees of a moving goalie.

That was Pierre McGuire.

So it's not surprising at all.

I am getting tired of the take me out to the ballgame Schtick.... Getting old.

No disrepsect to harry carray but if they wanted that song to be realistic to him shouldn't they pick drunk people to sing it?

Just a thought.. you know he was hammered more times than he was sober.

That was probably Eddie Olzlclvklyckcyk (did I get the number of consonants right?)

ok thx, i thought they switch during the game, i read this in an article.

I thought that was actually what they did last year too. Horn sounded at the 10 minute mark, no matter what was happening on the ice and teams switched sides. Am I misremembering?

I think it was Pierre MacFag.

"as you can see on the replay, he got the burst of wind.... right...... THERE!, and away he went.."

no, I think you're right.

I was hoping for a small blizzard to end the third. That was great fun at last year's game! :P

Anyone else feel that the commentators for national games make reallya wkward and stupid small talk? I don't remember feeling feeling weird after listening to something Ken and Mick say, but pretty much everything they say tonight doesn't make any sense or is really awkward.

Maybe they changed that so any plays going on don't get stopped prematurely.

That's how I remembered it. I was just sounding off to my dad about how that would be that way. Made me look stupid. Oh, well, par for the course.

that blimp shot of the rink looks just like my brother's tabletop hockey game from the '60s, where you put the guys on the surface and the metal vibrated and made them go everywhich way. He had a football game that did the same thing.

It is more fair this way, considering someone could be on a breakaway and then... BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Horn goes off to switch sides. :P
