Good to see Strader doing the broadcast. He and Redmond were my favorite pairing of announcers.

Why don't they ever have any Wings homers for national games? Do none exist?

I think it just has to do with the venue. Perhaps we should have demanded the game be in Detroit. That would be really cool!
I am just glad the NHL is showcasing the two best teams in hockey on a national broadcast level. Even people who don't know anything about hockey might watch this, just for the historic context?
Or not. Lots of "important" college bowl games on against it.
