What is really good is our whole 4 lines can score any games even though mostly done by 1st line and 2nd line.

Could not watch the game because of problems of atdhe.net but as I read you guys post, it sounds like we outplayed the Sabres. Checked the box score, 48-20 in favor of the Wings.

Almost looks like the game against the f***s few weeks ago. Outplayed them but both Sabres and Ducks, their goalies were solid during the whole game.

Good to see one goal behind is really nothing to us.

We now face the six straight road games against all teams in the Pacific Division and one against the Jackets. Hopefully we can take a good result from the road trip

Woo! This one felt like it would go to a shoot-out for sure, with Miller playing the way he did and pucks bouncing over the RW-players when they had an open net etc. but I'm so impressed by how this team never stopped playing, never got frustrated and just kept on pressuring the Sabres further and further back.

Also, these are the kind of games that a deep roster will win for you. When the first two lines can't get quite going (disregarding Hossa's late goal), the third steps up and scores two big goal.

With three lines as good as these, one or more is bound to have a good night.

And who else thinks Meech deserves way better than playing the odd game here and there? That guy looks like he could take a place in pretty much any team's defensive lineup.

 Did they confuse Mule with Huddie? As if that's possible? I would have made Huddie #3 for sure.

Yeah, Franzen had a solid game and did some nice defensive work, but Huddles should have been #3. Or Conks, we should remember that if he had let in one more goal, this probably would have ended either a Buffalo win or atleast OT.

Solid game by the Wings. Sabres played very well, too. 2 nights in a row though, and they ran out of gas at the end when the Wings had enough to turn it up a notch. Miller did better than I thought he would against the Wings.

Fun game to watch. Miller was outstanding, it's a shame his team didn't do a better job for him. But the Wings are on one of their rolls and just won't be denied. Even as the third was winding down and the game was tied, it just felt like it was inevitable, that one of those pucks was going in.

Contrast that to how we felt about the Wings two and three years ago in close games... that sense that if the goalie was hot they'd eventually get beat... But this team just oozes confidence. Never stop coming, never quit playing their game. Great stuff.

I never really took the time to think about that, but yeah. There is a feeling like, we'll find a way to get this done. Not "oh god oh god oh god" everytime the other team comes down ice.

anyone catch the kid in the background during mules interview? hahaha

was that his kid possibly? looked a little like him.

No. Mules are sterile. Their awesomeness cannot be passed genetically unfortunately.

Great game!! I think the Wings are certainly on a roll right now. They look unstoppable. The most important thing is that I think the defense is FINALLY coming together.Which to me is the most important thing. And our GAA is climbing up faster than a monkey up a tree......yeah ok that was bad.

Conklin should have at least 2nd star for this one. He held them in it all game long. Too bad about his shut out streak, but he'll take the W, I betcha.

Your bias is showing. Conklin was barely tested. Miller deserved 1st Star tonight.

whatever you say...

Okay.....just for the sake of clarity, you're saying that Conklin "held them in it all game long" in a game where he saw 6 shots in the 1st, (and let in one questionable goal), saw 4 shots in the 2nd, (and none at all after the 67 footer at the ~6 minute mark), and stopped 12 mostly perimeter and bad angle shots, (5 of which were from ~50+ feet out), in the third, while HIS team fired forty eight quality shots at a goaltender, (and a Team), playing on the second night of back to back Games?

You're saying he deserved "at least second star" for holding the Wings in this game, "all game long"?

Oh no, puckloo. Whatever you say...

I'm not trying to be an @ss. Honestly. It's just that....

It's not so much what you say, it's why you say it. I'll leave it at that.

ok, I have no idea what you're talking about... just as you have no idea what I am thinking. I will just leave it at that.

Solid defensive effort by the Wings again. It's becoming routine now. Just a month ago, we were all concerned that the team wasn't getting the team defense or goaltending needed to win at the highest level. Well, they're getting both now. Conklin was solid and the odd man rushes against seem to be a thing of the past.

Big credit to the Sabres for doing the best job I've seen all season of keeping Datsyuk from doing what he wanted. Despite the rubber Miller faced, I thought the Sabres kept Detroit away from the sweet spots on the ice in general. They blocked a lot of shots and protected the crease well. And Miller came up big, too. But if you allow your goalie to face 40 shots, you obviously aren't in great shape to win the game.
