We played a real good hockey tonight. Many chances we could not convert unfortunately.

But come on. We out shoot them this period and we allowed a goal?

Ozzie should be benched again. He let too many soft goals this season and looks to have no motivation as he did in the last season.

I know he has been taking a lot of slack lately, but I must add: Drapers faceoff today- 2/5 for a stellar 29%, while posting a -1 in a little over seven minutes of play. Isn't that why he still plays, faceoffs? Today is probably an off day for that, but still.

Ozzie lets in one soft goal and two he can't do anything about and suddenly it's time to bench him?

Have some faith, though I'm all for giving Conklin another start. Rotation never hurts, in my view.

Irrelevant to the game or your post, but I love you sig. That still crack me up.

Feels like osgood is too small for todays NHL.. what is he 5'10 170lbs? and overplays and is out of position on many situations.... we need a steve mason type of goalie.. if not well then they must keep about 20shots against or wings will loose alot of games.

:ranting: Zetterburg is officially slumping... he just doesn't SHOOT. :ranting: Someone should show him some youtube videos of himself to remind him he's lethal when he shoots.

And for the love of god- STOP it with the horrible second line. They have less than zero chemistry. In fact, I think they have negative chemistry. Can we please have Z-D-H back? For one more period? *SIGH*

Sorry. You guys and gals know I don't normally do this... but I hate seeing Pronger's gap-toothed mug when it isn't bleeding (figuratively or literally).

Yes, say the first goaltender on a serious hot streak that comes to mind.

I know what you are talking about. But as you watch the game tonight, JSG made some crazy saves that kept score and let the Ducks ahead of us by 1.

I think defenses, offenses, we have been better but Ozzie did not stop the 3rd goal and that hurts us really much because we dominated the Ducks in the 2nd period.

And regardless of that 3rd goal, I am in favor of Conks over Ozzie on the net this season. Conks has been really solid but Ozzie has been terrible this season

I know Ozzie made some spectacular saves but stats do not lie for the goalie. GAA is over 3.00 and save percentage is lower than .900.

I trusted him to come back to his game but only except for games agains the Wild and the Stars, he looked to let in too many bad goals.

It could be a bad decision by Babs to start Ozzie because Ozzie stopped around 50 shots against the stars last game.

Not like he's been god awful, but largely why he could';t do anything about the others is that he's flopping around on his butt out of position when it isn't called for and then takes forever to get back up. He seems very shaky out their, might even be battling through some nagging injury. Even on the Ducks power play prior to his softie he was far out of the box giving up the empty net unnecessarily. Thankfully our D stood up that time and stuffed any scoring chance, but he needs to play more like the Ozzie we all know and love and less like an extremely slow Hasek.

We have momentum now so I really believe we'll still win barring a flukey goal.

It's OK. All anyone has to do is recall the hit on Homer (abetted by Needavacation) from behind to know that Pronger deserves all the hatred and ill-wishes in the world. It wasn't "physics" - it was attempted murder.

The only thing saving him from my death-wish list is the image of him ending his own season while trying to take out Stevie Y in 2002. That was perfect, kharma in action, man.

I wouldn't say that hasek was a good goalie for the last years, he was good in the pre-cap era and it was different hockey back then...he just made those highlight saves instead of just be in right position and making it look easy

Brodeur, yeah i'd say 6'2 215lbs is pretty pretty big

Interesting point, if you look at all the top goalies in the league all except for Tim Thomas (5'11) is over 6'0. Then at the bottem six you only get one over 6'0. I don't think its all that matters of course, could be a developing trend however.

:shakes head:

Okay, while you got me on the brodeur thing,...the above paragraph just completly disvalidated what you wrote.

That's what kind of goalie you have to be if your small, hard to be a technical goalie if you don't take up the net

Ozzie not a technical goalie, never will be.

If you want one of those guys, get giggy and his pillow pads.
