WTF @ Ducks broadcast?

So I'm watching the Ducks v Rangers game and the FSN West guys put a little stat box up on the corner that was the players with the most power play assists since last year or something and they were so proud to say that Ryan Getzlaf was #1, but #2 was Detroit's Nicklas Lindstrom...

Lindstrom... Come on...

EDIT: didn't the league spell his name like that when he won his most recent Norris? Damn that s*** pisses me off

I can forgive them for botching Lidstrom's name, but the Duck's announcers are probably top 5 biggest homer announcers in the league.

Everybody's home town crew is at least a little biased, but those two are idiots.

Add the Sharks' dynamic duo to that too.

"That's a penalty, should be boarding. I mean, there's nothing wrong with it, it's a good, clean, solid hit, but come on, it's a penalty!!"

I have to agree. No way do the Sharks (one of the best in the league) or even Kings broadcast get this wrong. The Ducks broadcast are ******* morons and complete homers.

Meh, just a harmless error on a local/non-national broadcast that only us Wings fans are going to get upset at. A slim number out of a bajillion of people.

Nothing to get riled up at or lose sleep over.

Oh, I will try to fall asleep tonight, but I will not get that buzzing n out of my head... Linnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndstrom LINNNNND LIND LIN IN NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN STROM STROM STROM GET IT OUT OF MY HEAAAAD! PLEASE KRONVALL GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD!

f*** that. You're a professional television broadcast for the NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE. Get it right. Shows how bush league the NHL is putting that kid in a Lindstrom jersey. You wouldn't see that in any other sports league.

I can forgive them for botching Lidstrom's name, but the Duck's announcers are probably top 5 biggest homer announcers in the league.

I can't stand Bryan Heyword [sic].

They sure did. The jersey said "Lindstrom" on the back.

You'd think after SIX Norris trophies, they'd finally get it right.

Obviously, the thread starter cares. If you don't, don't post in the thread.

Simple solution.

Oh I would also like to nominate the Philly announcers as the most biased out there. I remember a few years back when Havlat caused all those brawls between the two teams when they played back to back and my god you should've heard them, actually maybe I'll fetch the video link for it......

I disagree. They may be homers (like any home duo) but I've always found those two to be very humble and praising of the other team. I too, was like "WTF" when I heard them say that on Saturday night, but other than that I've always found those two to be solid. It's not often that you see the home crowd duo praising the other team like it's their own. That seems to be the case every time Detroit is in town.

Well since the Ducks tv crew was brought up I'll continue on it. Those guys are the biggest homers no doubt. Since I live in Orange County I see their broadcasts from time to time and they are horrible. Everything the Ducks do is amazing and a great play but when the other team makes an incredible shot or a goalie makes a fantastic save they say how lucky it is and how unfortunate it is and what a bad break the Ducks got. Hayward especially, Ahlers isn't as bad.
