Its Chelios. Chelios is the main reason why our PK isnt where it was last year. Lidstrom and Chelios both played 3:57 on the PK last year, to lead the league, with Lilja being 3rd. Now that Detroit only has Lilja and Lidstrom, they've had to use Kronwall, Stuart, and Rafalski a lot more on the PK, and that trio is average at best defensively.

The goal was a garbage goal - there is NO argument against it. Now it wouldn't be the biggest deal in the world if it wasn't for the fact Osgood is have a bad year to say the least.

Tonight Osgood's GAA is .778

Fact:

Osgood's GAA on the season is LAST in the league at 3.29, the league average (of all goaltenders, not just starters) is 2.73.

Fact:

Osgood's Save % is .880, while the league average (of all goaltenders, not just starters) is .908

Now I am not one who thinks this is the end of the world, however you would be beyond ignorant to go along and claim that this is not something to be concerned with. Basically what I am trying to say is that there are a lot of reasons people are jumping on Osggod for that first goal - mainly b/c garbage like that happens more often then not.

I'm sure you have but at what point do bad bounces became just bad goaltending. Ozzy has had more "bad bounces" this year then everybody. The reason it even is an issue because let in a lot this year when last year he was money. Plus you can use the bad bounce and armchair arguement for any play of the game. I mean we are all being armchair anaylsts, thus being on the messageboard. I hope Ozzy turns it around to but that 1st goal he should have had. You are right though this arguement isn't going to stop, the only thing that bothered me is pointing out that you played hockey making you some sort of expert compared to those who are bitching about hockey; which you have know idea whether or not they played or even the level. So I go back to saying unless you are in the NHL or another pro league even it just comes off as self-righteous.

On another note with Kronner I know he's been getting a lot of "bad bounces" also, but has anyone else thought maybe he is looking bad this year because this is his longest season. If I recall correctly before last year he was injuried in both playoffs so he didn't play that many games, but he played all last season which was very long and hasn't been injuried this so.... Maybe just sit him for a game or so give him a break, tell him to go back to the basics ala Lebda....

I rarely agree with this part but Kron had a week off by ASG break but after he took a rest, he has looked even worse than before in my view. I think he is just having a bad season.
