Wings_Rule_1010 4 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 This game went from awesome (6-0) to slightly embarassing (6-3) to awesome again (8-3).

Ms_Hockey 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 We've had 8 different Red Wings players score. Do we have depth or what?
Cern 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 What has been a lot more reassuring for me is the Wings penalty kill. The Oilers aren't exactly a PP juggernaut but Detroit has looked MUCH better with the man down than they have recently.
aflac9262 211 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 (edited) It's funny how the Wings can look so good at times, then look so vulnerable, and vice versa. Edited February 7, 2009 by aflac9262

55fan 5,133 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 (edited) So am I correct in saying that the only Wings without points today are Cheli, Lilja, Helm and Franzen? If so, Mule is excused (due to injury) and those other 3 have to combine for a goal. Then we put Mule on for the ENG. EDIT: Wow is my internet connection slow! Game over. Great job, guys. Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 Edmonton played sufficiently terrible so I don't know how much this performance really shows, but the Wings put away a bad team thoroughly so I'm satisfied. Fell asleep a bit in the third but I can understand that. I'm much more interested in seeing how this game translates into tomorrow's tilt.

Wingsallwin 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 Great game. Little bit of shaking in the beginning of the 3rd but scoring 8 on any opponent is special. I missed the 1st and 3rd goal by taking a shower and having a lunch; 2nd goal was ridiculous. 23/26 is pretty good and Conklin was E.N.O.U.G.H to win. Also awesome thing is we killed all 3 penalties and as usual, our offenses were just on the another level.

russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 My only complaint was the three goals in the third, that sums up wings hockey lately, they lose focus when it looks like a win. Same thing happened to Ozzie last game, only that was with only a 2 goal lead. Conks had a big enough lead that when they stopped playing in front of him it was okay. They need to stay focused and play 60 full minutes...today they played 50, and let in three goals in the other 10 when the were lazying it up. Also Leino is the freaking Man.
