Is it just me or did that Leg break really slow Cheli down. He didn't look bad in the pre-season but ever since he got back he seems to be lacking that extra step that keeps him ahead or even with the play. He has been falling a lot more lately, and really for the first time as a Wing in my opinion looked unable to keep up with the play. I love him to pieces, but I think the career is almost over here.

that appears to be the case, he's standing still out there.

Hang on, Wings, in you can't get another one past Peckerini.

I bet Babs was not happy with period 2. He has been upset about not doing the little things to hold a lead all year, and I think that he is telling them to play their asses off in the 3rd.

Well, the goals that happened are gonna happen, so the onus is on the offense to beat the hot goalie and secure the lead.

2nd goal was kind of comprehensible because it was a deflection but Nick has to move around the net, not just beside the net.

1st goal was all Kopecky. Why did he take a needless penalty? We should not resign Kopecky, he cannot do anything. Look at Maltby and Draper. They are not as good as last season but they still can play well but Kopecky is spotless in this team.

I don't have anything wrong with the goals, but when the other goalie is downright stealing the show, we need our goaltenders at their best. Nothing against Conklin - just that the Wings need a solide effort from EVERYONE when our goalie is simply outmatched and their goalie is on fire.

This is reminiscent of a million playoff games we've seen before.

I think Kope is as useless as the next person but I did like seeing him drive to the net, but he should have made his cut sooner or shoot the puck and snowspray the goalie but he left his legs too far apart and that little push had little to no effect on him. Regardless of player X getting a penalty, the PK still needs to not allow a goal. Don't allow cross ice passes and don't let the PP team be on the doorstep with either no one there to contend him or to just allow him to be as close as he wants with no Wings closer.

YG, do you really think the other goalie has been playing that well? Personally, I think 30 shots from the point all at his chest isn't exactly screaming hot goalie to me. I do think he has been positionally sound, but I don't think he is really stealing the show with all those giant rebounds he keeps giving up.

Edit: Not trying to sound condescending! Honest question =)

Edit Edit: GOALLLLL ZATA!

They haven't been the typical Red Wings shots. A lot of them - most of them - have been smart shots by the Wings.
