What do you like most about this years team?

I would say it's the Depth we have.

In years past we couldn't afford to lose top players for extended periods of time but this year we have so much depth in GR that we dont miss a beat.

It also keeps a competitive vibe going which helps motivate the players.

Meech, Leino, Helm, Abdelkader are all awesome substitutes when the starters go down

Yeah, kind of a bandwagon response, but he's the only positive difference between this season's team and last season's. The other difference, the lazy team defense I do not appreciate. Sorry.

The possibility of signing Hossa is there, but I just don't see it in the cards, too costly (Depth).

But man what fun it has been watching him this season!

OHH the players that would have followed Hossa if they won this year, Kovie would have wanted a piece of the action, who knows the countless other players that would come to Detroit for 6-7 mil a year and a cup!!!

The only good thing about the cap is that it showed which franchises are legitimately elite. The Wings obviously, but you also have to give credit to Dallas and New Jersey. Staying competitive through that kind of change is impressive. It'll be interesting in a few years to see what effect the loss of Brodeur and Lidstrom will have on their respective teams. I give the Wings the edge on staying at the top. NJ not so much, although I have to give credit to Clemmensen and his team up to this point.

Still, I'd kick it to the gutter in a second if I could.

The wings offense, and there amazing power play. I swear they score at will. Now if only we could play better defensively and get more timely goaltending.

Seems we mostly think alike.

Hossa - he is so much fun to watch. We are so lucky.

Hudler - he is becoming a force to be reckoned with right in front of our eyes.

The Winter Classic - outdoor games are always fun but this one was the complete package since Detroit was playing.

Oh yeah those other guys, Z, Dats, Huds, Mule are all kind of fun to watch as well. I'm also really enjoying watching Conks play. He has been a huge supprisse, just that he is playing as well as he is.

The Depth is really impressive as well. I don't know if we will ever see a team this deep again in the near future.

But i'm going to have to go with Hossa as my favorite thing about this years team.

i like the fact that we're never out of a game, it just seems like even when we're down 2 in the 3rd period we seem to find a way to score and always make it interesting.
