YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) I would be shocked if we acquired someone.... We are having trouble making room to play all the players. It really does seem that every single player we've called up has been even better than expected. And the expectations for these guys have been high as it is. As much as I like the trade speculation, with as tight as it is, I don't see Holland trading for anything more than a depth guy making nil in exchange for futures, if he makes a trade at all. I could see a team like TB or Phoenix giving up a depth guy merely to cut budget costs to finish off the season. With the uncertainty over whether Scott Niedermayer will retire after this season, it's believed Murray will hold off making further decisions on Pronger until the draft in Montreal in June. With Pronger off the market, the most high-profile defenceman who could move before the NHL's 3 p.m. ET trade deadline Wednesday is Panthers' Jay Bouwmeester, who has not signed an extension with Florida.
