You are aware that this team brought in guys like Ulf Sammuelsson and Brenden Shanahan, right? We don't have that "classy" of a repuation to begin with. That wouldn't even be fair - if you put Chara and Pronger on the blueline and had them stretch their arms to their sides, they'd be wide enough to prevent anyone from entering the zone....save for maybe Hudler. Both Ulf and Cheli were dirty, rotten SOBs in their day. You can still find some of their finer moments on Youtube involving Cam Neely and Brian Propp... People got to realize that while Detroit has gone out and pusued some pretty good guys over the years, Marian Hossa pursued Detroit! This guy is an enforcer and is plays good against the Wings. He wasn't afraid to take it to Lidstrom last season. He could be this seasons Dallas Drake only more awesome. He was like a cheapshotting Mikeal Samuelsson, and he fought about just as much. No one on or off the ice ever respected Ulf, NO ONE! The man ended Cam Neelys career. Pronger has thrown a few dirty elbows here and there, and is worse?!? You bring up the suspensions, put Ulfie in Prongers day and age and he'd probably have double the suspensions.
