You know, not many teams give up 5 goals in one period. I think the score here is rather funny, rather then worrying. I mean, what could you possibly do? Switching a D-man for another D-man won't help anything. Getting 2 new goalies won't help anything. But I think it's pretty obvious that more new faces need to be on this team, fighting for their first Cup.

Unbelievable. What a start...again, y'all effing piss and moan about goalies, and sure, we want ours to play well, but this D is infinitely more worrisome. Conklin would've liked to control that better, but again, the fact that we're even allowing these plays to happen at all is just unbelievable.

YESSir. OK, Conklin kind of stared at at least two nice, close rebounds in front of him and didn't bother to pick 'em up before they got flicked in the goal, but our team right now looks as bad as I can ever remember. Period.

Pairing 1: Nick and Rafalski: 5mins played

Pairing 2: Kroner and Stuart: 4:30 and 4 mins played --> -2 each

Pairing 3: Lilja and Meech: 5:30 played --> -3 each

Why are the defensive pairings playing times in reverse order?

Throw ******* Lidstrom out after all the ******* unanswered goals. He's a steadying influence.

Why did Filppula just blindly throw the puck infront of the net instead of throwing it to the point? God damn it. *sigh*

The ice times of the D pairings are explained by the team playing last night. Lids played almost 27 minutes last night.

I know it's tough to take a step back when the team is getting pummel led like this, but keeping key players healthy by not playing them too much is more important.

All the other D pairings have to do is not suck and the problem goes away. But, alas....
