russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Blues announcers are trying to call it a clean hit. He may have broken Hossa's neck. He could be done for the season. This is horses***. Downey needs to wreck that guy, otherwise he doesn't deserve to be on the roster.
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Guys calm down with the injury forecasts, no one has any idea yet.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 If that's the case, Larry Murphy is an idiot aswell. I hope this isn't serious. Not just for us, but that was quite a serious spill for Hoss. you said it, not me.
ManLuv4Clears 7 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 stretcher board is out as is the neck brace. He's gone for the season. Unfortunately, you may be right if it's as bad as it looks.

whitneydatsyukrox 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Oh my goodness this is just scary! He probably wasn't trying to really injure Hossa, but you DON'T shove a guy like that in the direction of the boards. He literally threw Hossa to the side! Get well Hossa

GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 This is a serious injury, it just looks like one... kenny, you know what to do Nothing he can do. There's no one out there available that has half his talent. I hope it's precautionary also, but this has looked worse as it's gone on. This could be the worst thing that's happened this season to the Wings.
russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 i think pollack is innocent. he checks on Hossa immediatly after. He didn't want to hurt him, but he clearly checked him towards the boards, when he didn't have to. It was not intent to injure, but it is still a dirty hit. Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 No intent to injure there, so it's not a dirty play... Polak was right there to check how he was after the hit. But still, that's scary to see.
ZabiOfDetroit 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 :-( What a bad thing to happen. I feel that it was a clean hit, and Hossa was just off balance because he had just taken a shot. What a freak accident.... :-(

Downey needs to wreck that guy, otherwise he doesn't deserve to be on the roster. That hit was a hockey play. Furthest thing from dirty, complete accident. puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 I hope the Wings don't let this shake them. They need to win this game now, and not let losing Hossa like this end up rewarding the Blues.
