And personally, I'd had higher expectations for Rafalski when he signed here, and he didn't meet them in his first season.

What were your expectations?

He had 13 goals, 55 points (tied his previous career high) and was a +27. Yes, it's more than just getting points, but he did what he is good at. Skating, passing, and playing the point on the Power Play, which he excelled at. I would only start worrying about Rafalski if he stopped producing points, because that's his main job.

Back in October when the wings were playing poorly, I though okay, it is early in the season they will get better, just a little bit of a cup hangover. Now it is March. Wings are still turning the puck over a lot, the team is inconsistent, the goaltender is still shotty, the penalty kill still sucks. I am starting to lose faith that the team will ever get it together.

as much as you can blame the defense tonight, you have to blame ozzie too. i have no problem with saying the defense sucked, but there will still be people who claim this wasnt ozzies fault. for defensive gaffes, this game is 3-1. for ozzie games, this game is 4-1. ugly game.
