So with ten games left the Red Wings needed to average 3 goals a game to reach 300 goals on the season. so far in two games they have kept that pace. Do people think on this forum that the Wings can reach 300 goals when the regular season wraps up?

Right now they have a 3.73 average, so 8 games left and 24 goals to 300 being 3 goals per game, they should get it and have room for some. They're on pace for 305 goals right now. I don't really like musing on stats, especially insignificant ones, but some others might find that interesting.

yeah, he actually wrote the script for the film based on personal experiences.

sidenote: i had no f'king idea what this thread was about when i clicked on it. i'm alright with that.

i'm going to say yes, we'll get 300...we've got 8 games left for one of our guys to get a hat trick, so that's one of the eight right there. i hope and expect us to score about a thousand goals tonight *crosses fingers*

I don't know if you've noticed but the Wings are owned by the same guy that owns Little Ceasar. No Wing is going to get a hit trick because then people would go to Arby's and Illich doesn't want that. The players won't bite the hand that feeds them.

I was thinking about this last night, I think it's possible, it'd be awesome and everything, but no guarantees. We should though, as long as we go 7-2 into the playoffs like i'm hoping

Damn, last time the Wings had 305 goals for, was the last time we got jousted in the 1st round (2005/06).

Now, not to say it has anything to do with winning the cup, but the GF in our last 4 cup wins:

96-97: 253

97-98: 250

01-02: 251

07-08: 257

These kind of statistics really are meaningless IMO, as long as you score a decent number of goals more than you let in, it should be fine.
