Doable, it's probably 40/60 right now.

Kinda sad that there might only be 3, 100 pt scorers this year, basically the same as last year, even though last year there were only 2, but Crosby was on pace for 110pts.

Anyone think we're slowing creeping back to low scoring times? Only 2 years ago, there were 7, 100pt scorers.

We're also down to 1, 50 goal scorer....sad.

Are the overall goals down? Or are the goals getting more spread out throughout team's lineups? In mean the wing's don't have a 40 goal scorer, but are scoring a ton. Too lazy to look it up, haha.

I dunno, it seemed like there were an awful lot of 6s, 7s, and some 8s put up by teams this year. Maybe i'm just imagining it, or maybe scoring is more spread out. i dunno.

Scoring is slightly better than last year, but definately on decline from a few years ago:

2009 (projected based on current scoring) - avg = 238 goals per team

2008 - avg = 228 goals per team

2007 - avg = 242 goals per team

2006 - avg = 253 goals per team

I agree that I think there have been a lot of very high scoring games this year (8,9,10 goals) and perhaps that is inflating the overall goals per team stat? Probalby not though, I can't imagine it would have that much of an impact.

Dats will catch Cindy.

To tie Crosby, he'll need to score 6 more points than Crosby over the next 5 games. Crosby is on a 14 game scoring streak and has scored 19pts in his last 11 games. Plain and simple.......it's not happening.

Certainly possible, and I'll give it a 50/50 chance. I'm pulling for him though as it's been a while since I've seen a 100+ point Red Wing. Like, ages.

Two more points for Datsyuk today, so I believe that makes it 5 points left per 4 games left.

and 4 pts to 99(Crosby)............. could still be nice to tie him :)

But that's the system, It's amazing to see a team with the scoring really spread.

I hope he does it and for the love of god babcock, keep the H-D-H line together. That line was beast today. I forgot that I had an open 20 oz sittin between my legs cuz i dropped the cap and dats put in that goal from the beautiful through the legs drop pass from hossa and i stood and fist pumped and had my 20 oz all over me....so, it looked as if that line made me piss my pants! : P

Even more fascinating is the race for the scoring title. Caps and Penguins have 3 games remaining each, and Ovechkin is only 2 points back of Malkin.

It would be nice to see Datysuk win the +/- race and score 100. MVP! And Selke and Byng!

It would be so sweet to see Dats hit 100 points. Imagine if he gets 100 points and wins the Selke. Do you guys remember the last player to do that?

It was a certain russian player.. 95-96 season.. 107 pts.. played for the Red Wings..

:)

Aw gee, no votes for...who was that guy...oh yeah, Igor Grigorenko. *Sarcasm in a big way*

I'd love to see Pasha get to the 100 point mark...he's been flirting with it now for a couple years. I think this is the year he finally cracks it. Four games, five points, why not??? And almost a career point a game average. I know players who would kill for that.

I hope he sits out at least one of those games before the playoffs start.

Not so much worried about the 100 point mark, although it'd be sweet.
