There is nothing wrong with your screen. Hopefully by putting this here it reaches a wider audience. The quality of discussion in Game Day Threads is once again on a downward trend. Keeping three simple guidelines in mind will make the GDT experience a lot better for everyone involved - and this is important because GDT's experience quite a lot of participation. 1: no personal attacks. 2: don't treat the GDT as a chatroom. 3: is also no personal attacks. "No personal attacks" should be pretty self-explanatory. What does #2 mean? One and two-word posts are discouraged, especially if those words are swear words. Ten people posting "GOAL!!!!" after a goal makes for a lousy GDT. Ten people posting "f***!!!!!" after an opposing team goal is also undesirable. We realize the GDT is useful for keeping up with the play-by-play but by the same token an entire page filled with people posting those goal sirens is not helpful. With the playoffs coming up it's important to keep the GDT enjoyable for everyone, as the GDT crowd gets that much larger in the postseason. Please help keep the GDT clean and readable, and most especially free from name-calling and personal attacks. Edited April 6, 2009 by Hockeytown0001
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 (edited) Better line combinations for this game. Hossa and Z do not play well together, as we have all seen, and Hossa needs to pick it up a bit before the playoffs, so being paired with Datsyuk should help with that. If the game is close, expect Lidstrom to log a lot of minutes since there are only 2 good D parings. Lebda-Chelios is a liability. Since being named the playoff starter, Ozzie needs to put it in gear and have a good game. No soft goals please. Challenge the skater, don't sit back in the crease, pads down on the ice and close up the gap between your pads and the post please. If the Wings can limit turnovers they should have a better chance than these last few games. It is important not to fall behind the Wild, as to avoid the trap they love to use once they have a lead. wings5gal 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 Yay...I'll be able to watch a good chunk of it since I don't have to leave for work until 1:30. , According to Mlive, Kopecky's out with a shoulder injury. Also, according the Wild NHL homepage, Cal Clutterbuck is going to be micc'd up at some point. That should be interesting. No prediction from me. Depends on which Red Wings team shows up and which Wild team does.
Wings_Rule_1010 4 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 It is going to be a rough week for me, so hopefull the Wings will help me get it started on the right foot Hoping for a score of 7-2 Wings.... but they are playinf the wild and haven't been playing weel, so it will most likely be 3-2. Did anyone see on Hockey Night, they had the Wings as the second hottest team since February. I literally laughed out loud, but they did have the record to prove it. chrisdetroit 189 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 Wings are going to dominate this game from begining to end. Osgood has a stellar outing and Franzen scores another highlight reel goal. I'm also thinking that Hossa switches into playoff mode and finally gets a Wings Hat Trick. Final score 4-1 Wings.

Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 just hoping for a solid 60 mins all round. We really need a win to stop the rot setting in, but the Wild need it more than us on paper. Who wants it the most out on the ice thou? Like the lines more, if thats what Babs is going with. Would try Lids with Big Rig for a few shifts thou, get the kid learning off the master for a while.
