4/5 GDT: Wild 2 at Red Wings 3

Goal 1 was Osgood's fault.

Goal 2 wasn't. He was to the left for the initial shot and before he could move right E slid into him. He had no chance to get square.

All is well all is well!!!!

I'm afraid your entirely logical conclusion on both goals (supported by video) will be overshadows by drama, hate and the usual knee-jerk stuff seen here every game on LGW.

You Ozzie homers are annoying. Look how Backstrom is playing, and then tell me whether Ozzie should or shouldn't have stopped something.

Bottom line is that he's given up 2 goals, both of which he was out of position during.

TOTALY AGREE!!

No, I never said I expect our defense to be perfect, I expect the offense to make up for Osgoods short comings, and the defense to limit the amount of shots he needs to take.

And being on pace for 22 shots against is too much for Ozzie?

The fallacy here is expecting Osgood (who isn't a premier paid goalie) is expected to play like $6+ future MVP goalies.

What? I thought Osgood is a proven and capable playoff starting goaltender? Now the fact that he doesn't make as much money as some of the other goalies, we should all lower our expectations? If that's the case, then please, overpay for Luongo et al.

He's still being paid millions and is still expected to play like an NHL goaltender. Osgood's numbers aren't even good enough for the ECHL.

Are you Osgood's wife by any chance? You're giving him way too much credit for sucking. Guess what, a goalie has to make saves sometimes when his defense breaks down. It seems like every goalie in teh league this year is better apt to handle those situations than Osbad is.

You're misquoting me again. When did I say I expected Ozzie to play like an MVP?

You need to drop this Ozzie s***, because you sound more incoherent each time he makes you look foolish out there.

More crybaby Osbad nonsense. What's your favorite team again? Every team that has an MVP-like goalie? It looks like you think there's only 1 Red Wing on the ice. Sounds perfectly logical to me. Not.

Oh right, you're also one who keeps crying about an enforcer. Which further proves you can't possibly like the team you have in front of you. You're a malcontent who likes bitching all the time about s***.

Eh, ok. "Osgood sucks" doesn't belong? This board has a long history of guys being lazy and sucking. Also, I might point out that Jordin Tootoo is often a target of "someone end his career" posts.

I just think it's a double-standard. And I really wouldn't want someone to break Osgood's knee. Just a sarcastic reaction to him su....err....playing bad.

BTW, this is censorship. I'm not saying that it's not your right as a moderator, but call it what it is. You didn't like that I used particular phrasing to go after Osgood.

I might also point out that this site isn't "Let's Go Preds." And complaining about censorship gets you nowhere, since the site is privately owned and your posts are subject to forum guidelines. IMO, "Someone should go Tonya Harding on Osgood's knee" doesn't even resemble a constructive post.

He's starting because coaches don't pay attention to stats in the NHL or ECHL. But since all you can do are look at stats, rather than look at the team losing as a whole, which greatly affects a goalie's "stats" (particularly on this team when they give up so many great opportunities on few shots), it's easy to dismiss you just like last season when all you can do is complain.

Look everyone, Shoreline is accusing people again of being non-fans, because they don't have their heads up Ozzie's ass.

I'm obviously a Predators fan in disguise.

Seriously, dude, you're quickly becoming the worst poster here with you accusations and constant misquotes.

I'm not getting into this with you just to start something. But that argument is stupid. It's something the Chinese government would say...."it's ok to criticize the US, but not us."

Hell, there were doctored photos of Manny Legace with a noose around his neck when he was waived.

You're right. This isn't Let's Go Preds. Let's be a bit more intelligent than them and not filter material just because it is negative about (suspected) favorite players.

I doubt even the beloved Backstrom's stats would be so great if their defense just completely stopped playing like Detroit did. Blame the actual culperate, not the easiest scapegoat.

Wahh Ozzie, wahh enforcers. Cry, cry, *****, moan, complain, whine.

At least pull for another team for one season and you'll find yourself surrounded by people who would be happy if their team was in this team's position every season. It's obvious there is no pleasing you unless everything is perfect and flawless. I.e. NOT REALITY.

Oh noes look at how great the opposing goaltender's stats are! Oh noes.. look are where their ******* team is in the standings. 10th place. Just what I thought.

Did you miss the part where he said it was ok to be critical of the player?

And before you say it, criticism of players is not being censored, as it's perfectly acceptable to call that a dumb pass or a bad play or whatever. But it'll never be acceptable to openly wish for a career-ending injury to one of our players.

Yeah, I hate how Brad Stuart and Jonathan Ericsson both dove to block the shot. Lazy quitters.
