BTW, I don't buy the theory that this is a meaningless game, they're trying not to get hurt, who cares, etc... I think more of this team than that. If they really are not trying, I would like to know why and who is holding them accountable.

I had read your post to my sister and we were trying to figure it out if he had actually said that.

We get it now, and both think it's funny.

As cool as it would be to see Dats get that 100, I wonder how much it goes through the mind of his teammates. I would have to think that if it was me, I'd be passing it to him all the time, or if he passed it to me, I'd be shooting just to help him get the points.

This game is a perfect punctuation mark to a half-assed season. I've never been so happy to see the regular season over with, and the playoffs begin.

This game is a lot chippier than the one yesterday, but the Wings gameplan hasn't changed.

It's been the same story all season, I'm sure you must've noticed. The difference between this season and last is obvious: last season they had something to prove after losing in the WCF. This year they don't have s*** to prove and it shows. I don't know that anything could really motivate them other than the occasional pretender -- the Hawks (in the midseason games, not these bulls*** glorified exhibition matches) and the Sharks -- so they're just chugging along like this. And fortunately it's basically over.

I agree 100%. I know that this game means nothing but this is a good time to start looking like your a team thats ready to defend the Cup. This team has been hard to watch for the last month, I hope that they get their act together soon because this is the last warm up.
