The second guy had mistaken the NBA's playoff format for the NHL's. *shakes head sadly*

Reminds me of the stuff Leno used to do. Take the most retarded people and use them for humor.

What's worse than the people unable to answer the question, is that the newspaper don't explain it either!

My guess is they didn't know either and were hoping someone could answer...*rolls eyes*

You know what, I cut them some slack. Their team has never been in the playoffs before (I think). It's nice to see that they have a good sense of humor about it. Nothing wrong with being a beginner - and I'm sure it's exciting to be heading to the playoffs this year. They'll learn in time. :)

Yeah given that the Jackets hosted this interview on their site means they are good jokesters. There IS a light side to hockey, as seriously as some take it..

I think that was made just for fun, and they weren't being serious. Come on now, any fan of hockey follows the playoffs regardless of their team being in them or not. If they honestly didn't know, then they are in the minority, and the media probably picked out those on purpose for a theme of the CBJs being beginners to the post season & their fans as well.

A four game playoff series. I suppose if it's tied 2-2, both teams get eliminated since no one stands out.

I just hope everyone going to their games isn't this stupid. At least there's one thing they can learn to say, which divealanche fans still say at any random event. "Red Wings Suck"

How the playoffs normally work as far as the Blue Jackets are concerned:

The first shot is called a "tee shot" because you may use a tee to hit the ball off of. This is recommended because you can hit the ball farther. After that are your "approach shots" in which you attempt to place the ball on the green, which is a semi-flat surface of special grass. Once on the green you "putt" the ball and try to get it in the hole. You should take as few shots as possible and always try to avoid sand or water.

Yes, but how many sports have a "Best of six games" format????

How do you drop 120 bucks on a sport you know nothing about? Thats the only part I cant understand. If youre just going to the game for fun, hell, who cares. But if you're parading around like a real fan, at least know what sport you're watching.

Anyways, I bet you could find some people here in Detroit that would make those same comments. Maybe.
