This game showed good character on all parts.

As my heartrate returns to normal, I am thankful not only that we won, but that I can now wake up at 5:30am and be in a good mood. Getting up the morning after a playoff loss sucks.

I was going to come on here ranting how I respected Osgood's decision for staying in but how it may have costed us the game due to his stubbornness, but all in all, it ended up for a nice finish to the game and added the much-needed excitement. He played extremely well for 11 out of 12 periods and you can't ask for much more. Hopefully he'll be nearly 100% come next round.

SWEEP SWEEP MOf***A :D

Outside of those last 2 periods, we dominated the whole series.

Ozzy was amazing, Mason looked like a Rookie, BJ's took too many stupid penalties and you could just see how confident the Wings looked.

I am wondering what the BJ's have to say about the last call. Although I do agree, no question that was text book too many men.

Anyway, Great job guys! Now rest up!

This was the best effort put out by Columbus! they should feel proud, not to mention they grew up alot in this game!!

congrads Wings!! Great Effort in the third, the D helped Ozzie in the third, and he deserved it!!

Good year for the Jackets. Take nothing away from this game except that they could have folded it when it was 4-1 but didn't.

They likely won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Looking at what they are bringing back plus what they have that didn't really play this year (Brassard and Filatov especially), they'll be solid again next year.

HOpefully Ozzy heals up quick and retains his edge for the next round.

What are the BJ announcers saying?

And how the hell do you argue a too many men penalty? I mean, Christ. It's not like you can cover it up like a hooking or a tripping call. You can't cover that up. It is what it is.

LOL at the Jackets' announcers for sure. They so so so so wanted to call it a bad call - kept saying things like "tough call" (they repeated that one a lot) - but the evidence was plain as day.

lol the bj's commentators pretty much kept showing a replay over and over showing how it was "not" too many men on ice when all you could see for each replay was 6 players on ice on their side. They just kept going on and on about it till the dying seconds of the game.

we asked for a close contest since the first 3 games were mostly lopsided, and boy did we ever get it.

congratulations columbus fans for your team making the playoffs this season, and for the first time ever. they ran into an experienced veteran team and did the best they could with what they have. there should be no concern on your part because you can always build on this level of success.

ask any one of us around here what it was like to be a fan during the dead wings era and we'll describe a certain element of what you're feeling now... well, at least some of you.

congratulations detroit on a sweep of your 1st round opponent. rest up and we look forward to seeing you in the 2nd round real soon.

GO WINGS!

I'm glad that they have time for Oz to heal, however, after a sweep I always worry about the NEXT round...ya know?

I know what you mean, but they should only be rusty for a period or so. ...Just hopefully that period wont cost us a game 1 win.

Ah, We can worry about that when the time comes. ^_^

Good to know that this series isn't going back to JLA. I'm rarely a proponent of lots of time between series, but I think a little time off is needed.

It's either Vancouver or Anaheim for us in the next round.

Congrats to Detroit for moving on. And congrats are in order to the Jackets too. Tremendous year all around for them, and they certainly showed up for this game. Gave the home crowd something to cheer about.
