I just ignore the fairweather fans and analysts. The Wings are down 2-1 and they have been in worse situations in the past. Lets see how the next game pans out. If the Wings lose this series, they will have no one to blame but themselves. That much is certain. It wouldn't be the refs fault if they lost the series at this point.

I just can't wait to see the next game.

It's funny how people here are so unwilling to admit that the Wings are being beaten up physically, when it constantly shows during the games.

Our players aren't used to this kind of play and we didn't have to face a team anywhere remotely as physical last year in the playoffs. We lucked out.

Also, other than Homer, everyone else on our team seems unwilling to crash the net consistently. That's a sign of a team that is afraid to do anything physical.

The Wings are just being handled right now physically, and the people who've made excuses all year about us not needing toughness are unable to admit it.

Somehow I can't envision Aaron Downey floating around on the 4th line being the one and only deciding factor why the Wings are playing like ass. Give it up.

I sure am glad I didn't play sports or go to war with most of you in here. The wings are down 2-1 in a series in which all three games could have gone either way. Yet, some of you are bailing out already. Grow a pair, grow up, and realize there is much hockey left to be played. Me, I think I will watch and see what happens. This is an organization that has won more cups than anyone over the last 11 or so years. I would much rather have these guys fighting for us down 2-1 than any other team in the league. Comon people, this is not over. Quit being a bunch of little quitters.l

They've been playing like they don't care the last three games, why should I waste effort caring for them?

I was as pissed as anyone in the first period and after that goal last night, but I agree with yuo. These people saying things like the series is over, or "3-1 and it's over" aren't watching the same series.

We knew this would happen going into the series. Most of us felt it would go to 7 games. Either team could have won these games so far, which is scary ebcause the Wings haven't really showed up for a full game yet and they're still in this thing. Now they have the motivation and Datsyuk is finally making things happen and Hossa is finally turning things up. We've solved their smothering defense last night, but it was too little too late.

Game 4 the Wings will come out flying with an axe to grind. They've always played best under Babcock with a chip on their shoulder.

This series isn't over until someone wins 4. And the Wings, playing with a hand behind their back, are still playing even with the Ducks through most of the series.

EDIT: It makes you wonder who remembers being down 2-0 to Vancouver in 2002. Or hell, even the Nashville or Dallas or Pittsburgh series last yaer. Lots of people were convinced we were going to be out in the first against Nashville. That overtime gave was a nightmare. Then Dallas was going to come back because we couldn't finish them off. Then Pittsburgh was going to get momentum and steal the series.

This is the playoffs. Nobody goes 16-0.

It's not just about Downey. It's about having some grit and toughness on your roster the whole year to prepare you for these types of series.

Our players haven't been accustomed to this sort of play and didn't have to last year against less physical teams in the playoffs.

I'm not going to give it up until our guys start winning battles for the puck and taking it to it to Anaheim physically by constantly crashing the net at all costs. Right now the team looks scared and tentative and hence they shoot the puck from 40 feet away into the goalie's chest all the time.

Other than Helm, most of the players only play physical when they feel like it. He's out there constantly trying to hit people and battle for the puck. Last year we had Drake and McCarty doing the same thing on the 4th line along with Helm.

Yeah your right... I mean the Wings have only out shot the Ducks 2/1 ratio over the past 2 games. Outplayed them and had more time of possession. Your right though Babcock and the team announced they don't feel like playing anymore this season and rather be golfing so they aren't trying. Thats exactly whats going on you got it bud!

Oh yeah great, we're outshooting them. Too bad those shots are being made with ZERO pressure so that for the overwhelming majority of the time Hiller's life is being made easy. To me that one power play where Sammy floated around to the right of Hiller and wasted some half-decent possession by lightly tossing the puck into his chest summed up the last few games, they're completely and utterly lost out there. They're acting as though simply throwing pucks at the net regardless of where they are is going to get the job done, and it's the reason we've only scored one goal in something like two entire games worth of play.

The way I see it is the only way you can fail as a fan is to give up on your team. I for one think the Wings still have a great chance at taking this series.

Lets Go Red Wings!!!! Game 4 will be ours!

I agree with most here that the Wings are the better team, in terms of skill and system. Right now, they have not played to their full potential. I hope they'll wake up and realize that potential very soon. Time is short.

I think the BJ sweep lulled them a bit, it was too easy. The Ducks, on the other hand, had to fight tooth and nail to beat the Sharks and they came off that huge upset into this series.

All the games have been very close and any of them could have gone either way, these two teams are the most evenly matched teams still playing right now.

The Wings can win game 4, they have all the pieces in place to do it, they just have to find the heart and will to do it.
