The "unbeatable" Bruins down 4-1 in game 4

The Canes are my non Red Wing team I want to see succeed this post-season.

Boston is getting completely outclassed right now and I'm loving every second of it. If they lose this game they will be down 3-1 in the series against the ******* Hurricanes of all teams.

Since I didn't know there was a separate GDT, please merge this if you guys can. Thanks.

God, i hate Paul Maurice sooo much.. If its a Wings/Canes final omfg, what a horrrrrrrible series for the NHL.. Anything with Carolina in the finals would be horrible.. I'm hoping for a re-match Pens/Wings that would be epic.

If both the Wings and Canes make it to the SCF, I might have to find some way to go, seeing as I'm only an hour and a half or so from Raleigh. That would be fun, the only Wings games I've ever seen have been at the Chicago Stadium/United Center back when I was living at home in Chicago.

Have to say, I would rather see the B's. Call me old fashioned, but I just don't see what good it would do for the NHL to have Carolina in it. I think Boston Vs Detroit would create some hype.

Boston's looked almost as unbeatable as San Jose.

Also, I agree with 10 Minute Misconduct, Anaheim is the toughest test in the playoffs right now. Winner of this series is easily the cup favorite in my opinion.

I'm not surprised.

Their biggest weakness going into the playoffs was lack of previous playoff success.

Carolina on the other hand won the Cup a few years ago with this same roster.

You tell me which team was more playoff ready?

This "Best for the NHL" s*** is getting old. The way the Canes are playing, they'll beat Washington or Pittsburgh, they could hang with us the way Ward is playing. I said from the start of the year I thought it'd be a Car/Det final, just because one's my favorite team and I've always enjoyed Carolina (not so much Maurice but what are you gonna do).

As far as Boston, too bad, but if they do end up going down in 5-6 games, they'll be better prepared for next year.

It's looking like if the Wings make it to the finals ( if they get past the Ducks, I think we will make it) there is at least a 75% chance it will be a rematch of a cup final from the last 12 years. Washington in 98, Carolina in 02 and the Pens from last year. We went a combined 12 and 3 against them I believe. If I had my choice, I'd like to play the Pens again. I think it will be the Canes though, they look really good and Ward is playing amazing. Unlike some people though, I think it would be a very entertaining series and wouldn't be bad for the nhl at all. When is the last time the Wings and B's played each other in the finals or have they never?

I've never found cause to have much of an opinion regarding Maurice, let alone what appears to be a very strong negative one. Any reason?

Wings beat the Bruins in '43. The Bruins beat the Wings in '41.

Eh, he's always been a solid coach, I've just never been a fan of his. His stint in Toronto was one of the bigger reasons, but what he's done with Carolina this year has gotten him alot of respect in my book.

I'd much rather play the Pens than the Canes right now. Ignore the regular season man- the Canes are playing amazingly right now.

In both series they played the Pens showed some serious weakness and I really don't think they'd pose too big of an obstacle to an elite team.

On the other hand... Malkin could wake up, and then it's anyone's guess how dangerous they'd be.

People underestimated how signifcant their series win over New Jersey was.

I predicted the Canes to win this series, in 5 or 6 games from memory (could be wrong), I just had this major gut feel they would win. They finished the NJ series on a real high and went into this series with momentum, can't discount that.

The Pens showed NO signs of weakness last year, and it bit them in the ass. They actually are facing adversity now.

The Canes have faced adversity and have beaten the Devils in seven (winning the game with two goals in under a minute in the third) and may beat the top East seeded Bruins in five games.

Either team coming from the east(if those two teams win and the Wings make it to the finals) will be difficult. I'd rather face the Canes because I think they are not as talented as the Penguins offensively and I think our offense could solve Ward (we have solved Hiller and Mason).
