The positive = if this is how the Ducks play facing an elimination game i am confident we are taking game 7. The wings looked like they let off the gas a bit knowing they had a series lead and the ducks looked like they didnt want to win too much even facing elimination, The wings playing desperate hockey with their backs against the wall will wipe the floor with anaheim. They need to demand justice for Neidavacation and Perry's behaviour at the end of game 6. Cause a stir- call your local sports radio station- email the clip in my thread and instructions to go to 1:36/1:52 to TSN, the NHL, ESPN, your mom, whoever. Stir up some s*** and make loud noise. This site surprises me sometimes by the amount of optimism. If we play like this crap, we will go play golf. Take it serious. The Wings have a mental probelm right now. Sure, the f***s play a cheating hockey so it might help them but still, the Wings did not come up big. Besides, while I have been looking around the board, I am sick of seeing the bunch of douchebags who say the Wings are done while I am sick of seeing the bunch of optimitists the Wings win because of the depth and talent they have. The thing is, as the title, there will be blood. The most important thing, however, is the Wings did not smell the blood. The Wings, however, really has to smell the blood in game 7. For people who call other people bandwagons have zero sense of hockey at this point. I doubt there is bandwagon in this forum, maybe some but not many. You do realize the WIngs have been hitting just as well as the Ducks, right? I guess we should waste a roster space on a fighter when clearly we're having trouble scoring. That makes a lot of sense. zata20 4 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 I don't see Detroit losing game 7 at home. If they play like they did yesterday they definetly could lose, but I don't think that will happen. I believe they will have that fire they had in game 4 when they were pissed about the waived off goal. If their hate towards the ducks is half of what ours is they will have that fire back and come out flyin. The Wings have been there before and will get it done. Zion 93 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 Win-win for Anaheim: They shouldn't even be in this series, so they can really goon it up without fear of reprisal from the Wings (who are moving on) or the league (because their season is over). Maybe put Zetterberg or Franzen out for the rest of the playoffs. Or, they surprise everyone and win the series. The Wings really blew it, and I hate game 7s, but mainly because we won't be seeing a 7-0 mudstomping. The refs haven't helped (much) all series, so they need to simply put the Ducks away. Instead, they have let them hang around, and that is how you lose a playoff series. Hopefully, the Ducks think that last night's little incident will allow the Wings to be intimidated and try and goon it up during Game 7, and the Wings put them away via the power play. Zetterberg hit the post ... so it should of been 2-1 but luck was on the Ducks side. Anyhow watch the Wings come out fired up ... we need to get on the score board asap tho. Build on the lead. During the regular season, when the Wings were not motivated at all, they played horribly. Sure, the playoff and the regular season are different but in the playoff, in game 4, when the Wings had to win that game, they did. What can make me comfortable is that this is do or die game. It is a weird feeling toward the survival game but I think the Wings can do this. I am going to have faith on the Wings until the last second. The thing I question is that if the Wings still think the amount of effort they showed last night was good enough to win. If then, we will definitely lose.
