Yak19 303 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 Except the message received by the Wings isn't the one the Ducks intended to send. All the Ducks did is light a fire under the collective asses of a team that slumped through that game. If the Wings felt motivated before the fight, you can bet they feel even more driven to wipe the floor with the Ducks now. +1 GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vladifan 680 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 Why have our star players slowly been disapearing from the game? Why is Datsyuk being looked at differently because he isn't scoring? Why are we not infront of the net battling? why are there no open ice hits of meaning? There are a few people on this team who are carrying the physical weight of this team. the rest are scared of Anahiem. No doubt in my mind the past 2 game ending scrums/brawls have gotten into the wings head. There is a reason why our team came out flat. because we're flat our scared. We maybe out hitting them, but we're not out playing them physically. Did you see some of the calls that went against us when they did play it physically? Was it Rafalski that called for doing NOTHING?
Vladifan 680 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 Keith Jones couldn't possibly be just arguing another side like one of those PTI guys.. naw. Of course that's what they do. They choose beforehand what side they're gonna take and then their really bad acting skills take over. Ah, the cynicism. Ah, the lack of any real conviction about anything... What I want to believe right now is that once again, the Wings' know their backs are up against the wall. And we know how they usually play under those circumstances. What's more it's their wall and their house, and with any luck at all these unwelcome visitors will get their asses kicked out the back door.

titanium2 867 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 Many of the announcers and analysts are former players who may be flying on hate as they draw on some bad experience with either playing with or against Europeans.
Stinkyness 10 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 There is a reason Mr Flintstone is a commentator on a 4th rate network covering one of the least watched sports..... Jones and Engblom = Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble....looks, AND IQ 'wise....
zata20 4 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) There is a reason Mr Flintstone is a commentator on a 4th rate network covering one of the least watched sports..... Jones and Engblom = Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble....looks, AND IQ 'wise.... I do see the resemblance! Anyways Keith Jones is a douchebag. He agrees with the Ducks antics because that is the kind of player he was, dirty. All former players like him say that kind of stuff because they are just pissed off that they were 3rd/4th line players and had no actual skill. He 's just jealous cause he couldn't win any cups like the wings and wants them to lose. Edited May 14, 2009 by zata20
PROBIE4PREZ 58 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 If the Wings are up big in the 3rd youll be sure to see some major rapeage .. hah is rapeage even a word? If it isnt it is now and it bests describes what the Ducks do.
Guest micah Report post Posted May 14, 2009 You point is moot because the Red Wings wouldn't do that. Especially if they had just won. How many examples would you like me to give of Red Wings starting fights after the final whistle? The current roster does not because a) such actions are harder to get away with without suspensions and b) they are candyasses who cannot collectively fight their way out of a paperbag. Guest micah Report post Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) I liked Kieth Jones as a player (he might have been the only Ave I liked besides Brent Severyn and Joe Sakic) and I like him as a comentator. He was a complete player, it's too bad he was so injury-plagued. Edited May 14, 2009 by micah

He was a complete player, it's too bad he was so injury-plagued. I agree. Keith Jones was a great player for the Flyers and Avs. I liked him because he wasn't afraid to get into the dirty areas. Plus, he had a scoring touch. That being said, Jones is right. The Ducks are doing what they need to do to win. They were aggressive and they should be commended for taking it physically to the Wings. If anything, it was an attempt to get them fired up for a very tough game 7. That being said, the Wings woke up ready to play game 7 which is what they should have done. They have put game 6 behind them and are ready to play game 7. I guess we will see which Wings team shows up, but my bet is on the one that will chase Hiller from the net.
