Yeah, with the way the wings have been playing I would guess it goes to at least 6 games. If the big guns get going I feel confident. Otherwise it could be on the fence.

From my knowledge the Hawks don't have anyone as dynamic as Getzlaf or Pronger, etc.

I mean, Kane and Toews are great, but I wouldn't call them a Wing killer like the Getzlaf line.

Though, i do kind of like this whole "Game 7 every 7 years" thing...not sure how many of these my heart can handle

And it was the 7th one in The Joe.

the total score added up to 7

thats a whole lotta 7s

This will be a tougher series than Anaheim in my opinion.

The Hawks are a deeper team and not just a one line team.

Also, they're every bit as nasty and physical as Anaheim is. I don't know how much the Wings have physically left after this series. Chicago played 2 series against physical teams, both of which were filled with fights and nastiness.

In other words, Anaheim isn't the only team that can goon it up against us. Chicago will also and they have the tools to do it.

Wings in 6 or 7.

We just got by a team that was perfectly designed to beat us. The Ducks owned far and away the best line on the ice every game, where allowed to clutch and grab, interfere and mug our players ad nauseam to almost no consequence, had a better road record than home record to diffuse or home-ice-advantage, and had the playoffs best goalie statistically. We also did this with next to no point production from our best forward and a PP that left much to be desired, all the while technically getting healthier by getting Rafalski and Draper back. You could even argue had Brad "Dips***" Watson not shat the bed with his stopping a live puck with an early whistle, we'd have won in 5!

Meanwhile Chicago is coached by full-time professional "Red Wing's *****" Joel Quenneville and looked lost against us all season long save for a couple garbage games near the end. Naturally I'm extremely optimistic, but I definitely feel the Hawks are firing on all cylinder and we'll have the closest Joel Q playoff series in basically forever.

Wings in 6, with most games being 1 goal or 2 goal empty net games.

The way Getzlaf played against the Wings was better than Crosby or Malkin. Kane, Toews, and Havlat are good, but I can't see anyone dominating the way Getzlaf did against us.

The only thing that worries me about Chicago is their PP versus our PK. Other than that, Khabi has been giving up soft goals, and after facing the Ducks D, the Hawks D could feel like a breeze.

Well, well. RedWing biach huh. Guess what, Qs got a different team. It sounds vaguely familiar to what the VAGs were posting. Sweep, Bulin wall couldn't beat the VAGs. Luongo was God. Blah blah blah.

The Hawks are not the same team you saw in the Winter Classic back to back. Good luck guys.

It's hard to imagine that the Hawks will be as difficult as the Ducks.. I hope they're not. They're probably a deeper team offensively, and Khabibulin is playing good, but they're defense is not as HUGE as the Ducks'.

I'm expecting a much bigger series for Datsyuk and Hossa, and that will be the difference.

Wings in 5.

These are the type of hockey fans i really dislike...

at this point in the playoffs...no one sucks...you've gatta be a damn good team to make it this far. I have no problem with chi-town fans joining the boards to discuss the series, but discuss it, don't just bash anyone.

Show respect, and you'll get respect.

Thats true, but you should look at Q's numbers against the Wings. I'm sure someone will post the numbers...

Wings in 5.

Wings are on a different level. Chicago isn't there yet, and their youth and inexperience that hasn't been exposed, will be exposed by a veteran team that has seen it all. Wings in 5.

Yeah thats what all the so called "experts" have been saying all throughout the first and second rounds. Guess we'll just have to see. Hawks have nothing to lose. The defending SC camps on the other hand do. Wings have a hell of a team. Thats a fact and of record. Blackhawks are on the come.

I just hate to think that Quenville is going to come back and bite us in the ass.As for the team,I can't see how Chicago will be tougher than Anaheim but then again anything can happen,I'm not predicting anything.GO WINGS!

Hawks are chaos incarnate. Fast, tons of natural skill, but no system what so ever. Khabibulin though is very beatable. Of the remaining goalies playing right now, he has the worst save percentage .896. Ozzie, (not counting tonight's game) is a .924.

We play a tight puck possession, you can't do end-to-end, chance-for-chance chaos hockey when a puck possession team is playing their game.

I say Wings in 6
