Wings V. Hawks. Early predictions

I just hate to think that Quenville is going to come back and bite us in the ass.As for the team,I can't see how Chicago will be tougher than Anaheim but then again anything can happen,I'm not predicting anything.GO WINGS!

Our #5 dman Wisniewski went the Anaheim and was their #3. Samsanov who was almost sent down to the A goes to Carolina and becomes one of their top 6. Rene Borque couldn't cut top 6 in Chicago and goes to Calgary and becomes probably their top LWr.

Anaheim has a heck of a top line but thats it. The Hawks are one of the deepest teams across the board. So are the Wings. If anyone knows their opponent, its Babcock and I'm sure hes dialed into exactly what hes facing.

And young. We'll be around for awhile. Retirements around the corner boys.

Retirment may be around the corner for Lidstrom, Draper, Matlby and Holmstrom. but the Wings already have replacemtns in Ericson, Helm, Abdelkader, and Franzen.

Hawks are chaos incarnate. Fast, tons of natural skill, but no system what so ever. Khabibulin though is very beatable. Of the remaining goalies playing right now, he has the worst save percentage .896. Ozzie, (not counting tonight's game) is a .924.

We play a tight puck possession, you can't do end-to-end, chance-for-chance chaos hockey when a puck possession team is playing their game.

I say Wings in 6

It will be the exuberance of youth vs the wiley veterans.

Hoping the Wings in 6,but they may be emotionally spent for that first game this weekend, after dealing with the dirty ducks.

The Blackhawks have solid goaltending and they're that scary sort of team that's too young to know what the hell's going on and what they're doing and why all the fuss.

But they also have no defense. I mean, their defense is on par with Columbus for scary-looking. I think Zetterberg and Datsyuk will once again be unleashed - the Blackhawks have nothing on the Ducks when it comes to defense. This pleases me and I think the Wings win before it has to come back to the Joe for a seventh game.

Defense wins championships and we just beat the best D in the leauge. I could see us sweeping the baby Hawks but I'll say Wings in 5. Can't wait to see Campbell do hit awesome spin-o-rama 2 or 3 times a game, lol.

People have been talking about how old we are and how are dominance is almost over since the the late 90's. Personally, I think we're looking good for the future.

If age is going to be a huge factor, then I'd say it's going to work in the Wings' favor. Youth is nice, but experience is beter -- provided the more experienced team has the legs to keep up. And, uh, these Wings definitely have the legs.

I mean, sure, talk about Holmstrom and Maltby and Draper. But let's not forget about Helm, and Datsyuk, and Hossa, and Hudler, and Franzen, and Kronwall, and Zetterberg, and Ericsson, etc.

I'm actually really concerned about the Wings defense. Lidstrom looked rather human in Game 7 and at times they just looked plain tired. I hope they sleep for the next two days. The might need it.

its kind of ridiculous to say the Wings have a bunch of old players. They have what a handful of guys that are over 35. They have alot of young talent and not to mention the guys that they have down in the minors

Hmm, that's funny, Wisniewski was 5th in TOI per game for the Ducks during the playoffs. Sergie Samsonov, 8th in TOI for the Hurricanes. Would you like me to continue?

Wings are on a different level. Chicago isn't there yet, and their youth and inexperience that hasn't been exposed, will be exposed by a veteran team that has seen it all. Wings in 5.

I think Detroit will break down there goalie ;) Thats the weekness i think.

True that. Khabibulin is hot or cold. There's no in between for him. Either he's unstoppable or he's swiss cheese.

Watch out for Leino if Babs dresses him, I have a felling he and Helm will be Hawk killers.

Wings in 6. We'll lose two games by bad reffing again.
