WCF GAME 2 GDT: Blackhawks 2 at Red Wings 3 (OT)

I really better never hear another person take a s*** on Chris Osgood. He put this team on his nuts when the playoffs started because he knew he had something to prove to people; that aside from the regular season, he's a damn good goalie. He has basically made sure we're still playing right now because there were a few games where the difference between us and losing came down to his equipment.

Was not feeling good about this one going into OT, but at the same time I wasn't worried at all if they did lose, so to actually pull out a win in OT is a pleasant surprise. I guess we'll just have to ride the Cleary-Sammy scoring wave all the way to the Cup Finals.

Things seemed to be going well there in the third until, of course, Sammy gave that one up and it was a tie ballgame. He giveth and he taketh away. If every Wing not named Franzen/Cleary/Samuelsson wasn't having such a hard time finishing this game might have been a blowout, too, but I'll take the Ws any way I can get them.

Go Wings!

I don't remember any instance in which I outright insulted someone on a forum. I'll have one to remember now: you are a total douchebag. I wager that a good portion of the posters on these boards are sick and tired of your constant panicmongering, negativity and complaining. Are you a fan of the Wings? I don't think so. I'd call you a bandwagoner who plainly feels entitled to seeing the Wings utterly dominate every game and feels somehow deprived regardless of the outcome of the game if they do not play perfectly and who, further, has no absolutely gratitude whatsoever for the team's success. Empirical evidence leads me to believe that you'd find something to criticize and complain about regardless of how the team played.

...Whoa... How'd you become a Wings fan?

It started out to piss my dad off. It was 1994, after the lockout. Unfortunately for him though, it didn't turn out to be a phase. Their players just seemed more likeable and when he had to go to Detroit on business, he'd bring me back Wings stuff. So I've been a die-hard for 15 years now. Wouldn't trade it in for anything else in the world.

LOL, no hon. The normal time. :D The night/evening sometime before the game.

Oh ok. Sowee. But that Pav and Hoss thing didn't work so I should probably adjust my approach. First time I just played with the calendar date. Second time I made it more salient to the Wings. I should probably go more general like the first time... Weather? I don't know.

He held him with his blocker hand, it was fairly obvious.

I think they're oughta be a rule where the goalie can beat the crap out of anyone who's in his crease for more than one second. Sounds fair to me. :D

Check out this message from the Hawks board:

"My prediction:

For good or bad, Campbell will be involved in the outcome. He will either score or set up a goal by pinching in or carrying the puck deep OR he will give up a goal by attempting to pinch or bring the puck deep and turning it over.

Lets hope for the first scenario."

HAHAHAHA, that guy is good

At least Kane improved from last game: from a -3 to a -2

They must be very happy with him

Wasn't able to see this game but still feel great about the victory! Seems like our depth/role/whatever you wanna call them came through once again.

It's one hell of a thunderstorm here...maybe Thor is happy too about the victory.

Quick, hang a picture of her right over the hole! Low odds of it working, but it might, it might! :-)

When I was a kid, I put a hole in the wall playing floor hockey--I was trying to bat a puck in out of mid-air and hit the wall with my stick blade. Put a poster over it...went about 2 days before my mom found out lol.
