Does anyone remember in 2007, in the midst of Datsyuk playoff disappearances, people were calling for him to be traded everywhere and anywhere? There was a rumor from one of the NHL "insider" bloggers that had him going to Florida for Olesz and fans here were all about it. I tried searching for it, but it's gone, gone, gone. I forget who I said trade him for...... Let me take a stroll back an d refresh my memory! edit: Ok, went back and found my Datsyuk "trade" proposal, and I think I got everyone beat: RObert Lang, Pavel Datsyuk to Buffalo for Marty Biron, Chris Drury and a Draft pick.... Like another poster said, it's a good thing GMs don't (or more notably, Kenny doesn't) look at this place for advice. T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 (edited) I'd still like to see Flip traded. On the Team 1040 Vancouver they do their "Who's hot in hockey" segment. Today it was Valteri Fillpula. No goals, but a ton of unbelievable assists and defense like they wish Canucks forwards could play. They're talking about how to build a team, and every other sentence contains either the word "Detroit" or the words "Red Wings". Didn't part of it have to do with the fact that he and Bowman were getting along about as well as gasoline and a lit match? I remember reading somewhere that Bowman wanted his forwards to play both offense and defense and Steve didn't think he needed to do that or some such nonsense. Thank GOD that never materialized.
