BTW, the awesomeness of Steve Yzerman offset any jinx that came with touching the Campbell Trophy.

Sidney has no such awesomeness. Hence why the Pens are fooked.

THIS!

DRW do not "shake in their boots" they knock their opponents out of theirs.

Most Deff...believe me...Niklas Kronwall and Brad Stuart are starring in their nightmares right now...

The Pens have not played a team like Detroit yet. They will think they will be invisible after doing so well with Detroit "struggling". They will be quite surprised the depth the west has to man-handle the Penguins in 5 games.

I'm hoping that we get healthy again and IF we do face the Pens........boy I don't know how to say this without sounding too over confident but I just don't see them beating us.I mean after Sid and Malkin it's Bill Guerin for Christ sake leading the team in points.I just don't think they have faced anything like Detroit yet.

They will be tougher than last time because they added players like Guerin and Kunitz. But still basically a 2-line team.

I will be happy if they get re-introduced to Mr. Franzen, run over by Mr. Kronwall and shut down again by Mr. Zetterberg.

Am I the only person here a little nervous about Pittsburgh?

I am a bit nervous...honestly this is the first year out of the four recent cup finals that I am not 100% confident Detroit will win. I am only 95% this time.

And yes I know the Wings still have to eliminate Chicago...

I'm nervous as well, but not as much as I was when I found out we would verse the Ducks.

And I always thought the jinx with the trophies was you don't skate around with them. I never thought it mattered whether you picked them up.

I will start feeling a bit nervous once the Wings beat the Hawks. Just a little bit though. I was looking at the Pens stats compared to ours and I was surprised at how bad their +/- is. Malkin and Crosby are pretty low and considering they're the top 2 point getters in the playoffs thus far, it only means that they almost allow just as many goals against em' as they score for their team. It's been proven time after time that D wins in the Playoffs. I think even the Ducks would be able to take the Pens in a 7 game series if given the chance.

I'm more nervous about the Wings winning game 5 and getting some bloody rest so we can muse about the Penguins/Wings SCF matchup formally.

I was nervous in every series, including Columbus but i was confident we would win each one including if we face the Pens.

I absolutely agree. Part of me feels that the Wings still will dominate, but the absence of Datsyuk and Hossa, combined with the stellar play of Crosby and Malkin scares me. Last year Malkin disappered. Now we have the disappearign Russian who carries our team. ROle reversal a bit which scares me.

Also, Pittsburgh has the experience that everyone said they lacked last year. We can't really dismiss them for this like last year. It's a much more level playing field than last year and last year was closer than the 6 game series indicates.

But then part of me thinks if we can beat Anaheim, we can grind out Pittsburgh. But thenp art of me thinks that Pittsburgh has two Getlafs and one was hard enough to contain.

But yet again I think Anaheim had a much more stifling defense.

Wow, I guess all I can say is that it's going to be a thrill ride and I don't think I can even begin to predict the winner of this series.

Oh, and we have to defeat Chicago. They seem to be broken, let's hope it stays that way. First, because I can actually watch the game tomorrow, and second, because now that Pittsburgh is waiting we need to end this series fast.

He did that last year too I think.

what an idiot

no he didn't touch it last year, thats why he said he did this year since last year "it didn't work out so well." then they cut to an unnecessary shot of lemieux saying last time the pens won the cup, he picked up the trophy. blah blah blah who really cares.

i'm getting so sick of these pens fans i really hope we shut out the hawks tom. and then can proceed to officially giving the pens a beat down.

No i am definitely nervous to play the pens. Right now crosby and gino are playing out of this world and they are secondary scoring from 2 other lines. I know they haven't the calibure that Detroit brings but they still concern me.

If history has anything to say then that also concerns me . Last time 2 teams meet in back to back cups and all , and finally.. what concerns me the most is the uncertainty of the health of some MAJOR players. If i knew that the boys were healthy then i wouldn't feel as concerned.. just nervous.. but as it stands .. ya i'm NERVOUS!!!

Hopefully Hossa brings us luck.. Cause he left them to WIN the cup.. so he better work his ass off to make it happen!!!

Oh noes Jordan Staal is a good defensive player, with his -1 in a series where his team didnt lose 1 game

YOU try matching up against the opponent's #1 line every shift while trying to score with Matt Cooke and Tyler Kennedy on your wing. I thought you guys knew more about hockey than reading a box score.

If you want to assimilate into the LGW faithful, insulting them is usually not the best course of action.
