Did anybody give credit to the Refs? They did a super job IMHO, very little crap after the whistles. They controlled the game very well.

I did in an earlier post. The refs stayed out of deciding the game, and I think because Mc Creary was refereeing, they didn't allow the scrums after the whistle. The last time he refed a game for us, Mc Creary was throwing players to the sin bin for stuff after the whistle, and the game played much smoother after a couple incidences.

That back-to-back will be killer, but if we get in the game mentally earlier, I think we'll be fine.

I don't know if I'll ever get over that. How stupid can the NHL be? I really want to punch whoever is responsible for that in the face.

He was the one that called the best game in Columbus also, as I recall

Bettman doesn't want the SCF going up against a possible Kobe-LeBron match up in the NBA Finals. It's smart marketing, but stupid logistically. You want to make sure as many people as possible watch YOUR product. So you push it up so that it's not competing with anything. If the Finals started on the 5th, they'd be losing advertising bucks to the NBA.

I don't agree with what Bettman is doing here, it will be physically exhausting for both teams.....more so for us I think, since the Pens have an extra day off. That being said, the Wings have to be better than the schedule. We can't use it as an excuse for losing or not playing to our potential.

Yeah, McCreary is noticeably on a higher plane than most NHL officials. Whenever I don't notice the refs, he's the guy on the ice. They made a phantom call on the Hawks in the 2nd period but overall it was a solid effort by the refs.

Yeah, pretty moronic. They showed a few seconds of Q live, then...nothing. Constant re-airs of Osgood and Zetterberg on-ice interviews. Oooh, just as I type that, here's Babs.

I remember Vs. last year would carry a lot of the PCs, especially when it got later in the playoffs instead of cutting away to cagefighting or rodeo or whatever else they have on there. WTF happened to that.

The Wings had problems with the schedule during the regular season too. There were a s***load of 3 games in 4 days with travel included.

They can do it.
