Canadian_Yzerman_Fan 7 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 What a terrible terrible idea! Tippett was pretty good I think. He'll find a job somewhere quickly. Crawford on the other hand has been out of the league for a while for a reason. Oh well, at least it happened to a rival. Watch out for the increased goonery of Ott with this. cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 That tv career just wasn't enough. I hope Mr. Bowman laughs when he reads the headline of this story in the paper.

Ozzie30 170 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I, for one, am actually excited to see this. The Stars were an elite team last season and, even though injuries, mismanagment and Turco derailed their playoff hopes this year, I expect them to be competitive in 2010. That being said: Detroit already has a rivalry with Crawford (wherever he goes) and this move by Dallas can only strengthen our budding rivalry we started in 2008 with a good Stars team. Crawford wouldn't have gotten them ready with all of the injuries they had. Put Crawford in last year and I ensure the Stars would have never been in the hunt. Yes they had a terrible start with all of the controversy with Avery, but they did ultimately have a bit of a push.
Wings3:16 324 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 Why do the Stars want to miss the playoffs again? Is next year's draft that deep?
bonan78 1 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 Wow. I thought this guy was done. Look for Turco to get into at least 2 fights next year. Also wouldn't surprise me if they go after a couple of goons in free agency. My respect for the Stars organization just took a nose dive.
