Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 The NTC he has makes it a pretty good bet that he'll be here next year.
Norm_Maracle For Vezina 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Actuallly I want him back.. it's easy to blame one guy for one game.. but in the long run, it's not his fault..... if Pav was in for the series.. i'm sure we would have won one in pitt and won the cup..... what can you do.. we still have a period to do it... BuckeyeWingsfan80 209 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 (Insert Farting Sound Here) 100% And the turnovers will continue too. But he has a no trade clause. He's going to be here no matter what.

YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Stuart is our #4 defenseman. He had a s***ty finals game, but MANY guys did. Ultimately, I thought Stuart was better than Kronwall and Rafalski for the entire playoffs. I wouldn't be sad at ALL to see the Wings drop Rafalski. Kronwall has too good of a contract for a 50pt Dman. Dman Raffi's NTC.
Mitchmac33 103 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Brad Stuart's a great defenseman. no way do the wings even try to get rid of him (especially cuz he has a NTC). Great year, with an unfortunate end
GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 He should change his name to Steve Smith. Oilers fans know what I'm talking about. Yeah, he'll probably be back, but him and Kronwall need to learn how to stop turning the damn puck over so much.
Lidstromrules16 7 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Two gaffs in the biggest game of his career still isnt enough to warrent getting rid of him. His playoffs overall were phenomenal
lomekian 201 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Yeah stuart was our best non Norris trophy D from march until 2 weeks ago, but didn't cope with the pens forecheck...his play in the earlier playoff rounds and his NTC mean he stays. And I think on the whole he is worth his salary....
Guest Lidstromboli Report post Posted June 13, 2009 i hope stuart got an assist on that pens goal
ShanahanMan 473 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 I don't care what you say. The goals were on him, meaning the game was on him.
swedenwing40 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 brad did not lose the game the team losed the game. They losed 2-1 hossa didnt score z didnt pavel didnt they needed goals.
titanium2 867 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Those who want Stuart gone are idiots. With Rafalski gone in one series and Lidstrom gone in another, he was a workhorse for the Wings. Even if he did have a last bad game why should that erase the previous 13-15 games in which he played well? He plays well for the Wings and this is how we Wings fans reward him? By wanting him gone? VikingMark 5 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 I'm not going to get into the Cleary debate; I like him, was glad when he became the 1st NFer to win the cup, but wouldn't be devastated if he was traded this summer .. hopefully with a second ring. How ANYONE could possibly defend Stuarts awful play this season is beyond me, however. Stuart is, by far, the WORST defenceman we have on the team, in the minors, or anywhere in the system at all. I'd rather double-shift ancient Chelios for every game than have Stuart step on the ice at any time. I'd rather call up the youngest, most inexperianced D-man in the system, than have Stuart play another shift. In fact, I'd rather the Wings use an old battered traffic cone, than let Stuart dress for another game! Every time we have a goal scored against the Wings, regardless of which 'tender we have in net, I look for Stuart and his whatever bone-headed move he made to cause it. More than half of the so-called "bad goals" that people blame Osgood for this season, I blame Stuart for instead. He makes the Red Wings worse, just by being on the team .. and the closer he is to our own net, the more likely it is we get scored on again. Trade his worthless ass, or buy him out ASAP this summer .. and hope & pray that he doesn't cost us the postseason! ... and my hopes and prayers are denied ... wish Stuart could deny the other teams chances as well ... RedStormRising 7 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 (edited) Another come-lately fan being completely fairweather? WOW! WHAT A SURPRISE! RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 God some of you people make me sick, you guys are bigger crybaby's than Crosby. Ok Stuart turned the puck over, but the wings played the s*** all of them. Osgood should have had Talbots second goal where's the blame on him. Holmstrom was invisible all playoffs, 2 ******* goals the entire playoffs. You guys act like the team is entitled to the cup. They ******* lost, and Im upset but my life will go on. There are bigger problems than just Stuart in the series. The big stars came up flat plain and simple.
