Good for Saku, Montreal is going to be a s***hole next year, whereas the Ducks could be competitive, they have a worse defence, but better scoring depth this season (Getzlaf, Ryan, Perry, Koivu, Lupul, Selanne, Ebbett, Christensen, etc.)

This was pretty much expected. I could never have seen him in Minnesota competing for the same spot with his brother. And I really think Koivu-Selanne will be a excellent combination, no matter who's the third wheel. They've always have good chemistry even though they haven't played that much together.

My friend in Alaska has two Siberian Huskies from the same litter. He named them Saku and Koivu. True story.

Edit: He's hates the Ducks, though.

Not a bad move for either party... Koivu needs a fresh start, and Anaheim needs some experienced playmakers at center for the second and third lines... that was their week link this past year in the playoffs, as they heavily relied on one line... With Lupul coming back, likely on the second line, they need someone to center his line which could either have Selanne or Bobby Ryan on the other wing... Even though they lost some defense this offseason, I think that with their improved offense, they have a chance to contend. Watch out for them!!

Ryan/Getzlaf/Perry

Selanne/Koivu/Lupul

Niedermeyer/Whitney

Wisniewski/Brookbank

Even though their defense isn't as offensive as it has been for the last couple years, I expect them to be very good/ dangerous... expect them to add another d-man too!!

Great Signing in my opinion. Secondary scoring was the difference between the Red Wings Being in the cup final over the ducks and it is now addressed.

Defense is weaker. Once we get Wiz resigned we'd need one more Dman. someone like Seidenberg or Morris.

Should be interesting to see how things pans out

Looking at his stats from last year, I don't know how he got another NHL contract

koivu.jpg

In 65 games he had 16 wins, 34 losses and 50 ties, with a 4% save percentage and a 44 goals against average. The Canadiens must've really loved him if they didn't shelve him 3 games into the season last year
