Instead of having some prospects rotting on the bench or third/fourth line of the Griffins, this will give them a chance to get first line minutes on a different team.

Gives the Griffins a feeder team, and also a place to put the guys who aren't quite there yet.

So are we going to see some of the younger guys like Sebastien Piche and Max Nicastro playing for Toledo? These are younger guys who are in the QMJHL and USHL respectively. The ECHL is a step up over those leagues...or are they not even ready for that yet?

I, for one, would especially like to see Piche take a step closer to Detroit in the prospect system.

The youngers guys will be there before going to GR. I read a while ago McCollum might be starting there. I'm psyched as it's a close drive for me. I'll go down there to see a game or two.

There's finally a Michigan team in the ECHL now and Detroit decides to go with an Ohio team. WTF. Cancel the affliation with the the fishsticks and go with the K-Wings!!!!
