Umm....okay??? Sorry I just really wanted to cast a vote myself. But obviously thats not gonna happen since it's GONE.

It doesn't matter. Eat s*** and Die registered something like 87 accounts to LGW and voted in it with all of them to sway the result. Like Bush did.

Well I haven't been wronged personally by any mods, but I've witnessed it. Also, I said SOME mods. Not all. And all I know, is that enforcer poll did not break ONE FORUM rule. So you tell me how deleting that thread is justified? Sounds like an abuse of power to me. What a joke.

Once again, either talk to a mod about it or leave.

I doubt they give a s*** that you think them deleting the poll was "unjustified".

Did you read all the posts in it?

Nope. Were people getting off topic or something? Thats the only thing I can think of to why a poll that over 200 people voted on was deleted.

Wait, I'm confused. So, how do you know that not "ONE FORUM rule" was broken, when you admittedly didn't read the whole thread?

To answer your question, The original "vote" thread had gone so wildly off topic, that it would have been impossible to bring it back on track.

- Members are asked to keep the discussion on-topic in threads. If you want to take the conversation off the topic at hand please do so via the PM system with the member you are conversing with or start a different topic in the appropriate forum. Members that continually violate this rule will have their Hockey Discussion posting privilege restricted.

- DON'T derail threads. When posting in a topic please keep the conversation focused on what it was intended for. Posts that derail threads will be edited and/or deleted. Members that continually derail threads will have his/her posting privileges suspended.

Huh. Whatdya know. Going off topic IS against the forum rules...

For future reference, as Doc Holiday said, if you have concerns about the Forum Rules or enforcement thereof, please bring these concerns to a Mod privately via the PM system, rather than openly bashing the moderating team. Thanks. Now, to get the conversation back on track...

I'd like to have an enforcer on the team. But it'd got to be someone who brings some talent other than fists of fury. Someone who can play into the system, chip in the occasional goal, and be defensively sound. That's a player that I will agree is needed.

But a player whose only ability is to fight (and take bad penalties)? Pass.

That's what I was tryin' to say:

Dude.

But you articulated it better.

If they "don't give a s***" what the members think, then they are kinda pricks. Frankly, I don't think that's true, they've always been fair to me, and never really struck me as uncaring. I don't think your negative portrayal of them and their dedication to this board and it's members is warranted.

That isn't what I said.

What I said was that the moderators obviously had a justifiable reason to delete the thread, and one person saying it isn't is probably not going to worry them much, if at all.

I never said the mods were pricks or that they don't care for the welfare of the posters here. I am saying that they do care for the welfare of the posters which is why they deleted the thread, and you outright bashing them because you don't THINK they were doing it is not warranted, and the moderators aren't going to look at one another and shout "Oh god, what have I done!" because one person is going out on a tirade.

Alright, alright, alright. The last "LGW Enforcer" thread was deleted due to rampant off-topicism... (If that's really an ism?)

Let's not let this one suffer the same fate.

A hockey player that can fight? Hell yeah.

That's what I'm talking about!!

Too bad this happened:

http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nhl/news/story?id=4537372

Boston Bruins sign Milan Lucic to a three-year contract extension worth $12.25 million over three years.

Not that we had ANY chance of signing this guy, but I certainly think a signing like this would satisfy most, if not all of the pro- and anti- enforcer crowd here in LGW.

True or False?

I'd take Lucic. (Especially when backed up by thornton and Chara)

I mentioned Ott earlier, I'd also take Scott Hartnell or Lucic. None of those guys will be available to Detroit when they're worth anything however.

Did Holland even look into signing Neil?...Would he have taken less to be a Wing?...Is $1.5 million for Williams a better deal than what Neil would've gotten from Holland to play in Detroit (mind you comparing what they both bring to the ice)?

I dunno; with what Holland got over this summer - I just think he could've done better.

This is accurate. He could have done more than better in my opinion. The purpose of building a team isn't to build same players that are all type XXXX players... It's great to have some different pieces of the alphabet; A couple EE, AA, XXXX, IIII players make the team overall.
