Well too bad I don't get Vs. anymore, and don't get TSN or any other Canadian channel either.. thanx directv for nothing!

I'd make a prediction but... any news of a definite lineup for tonight?

QUOTE (Aussie_Wing @ October 13, 2009 - 12:44AM) *

Nice GDT mate. thumbup.gif

I'm super pumped about this game as it's live on HD in Australia! Thanks Versus. biggrin.gif

I'm hoping to see Eaves in the line-up but that doesn't look likely. Also hoping for Flip to get a point or two.

OH yeah. Let's hear it for Versus. While we're at it, let's cheer for Directv. And Comcast. And Gary Buttman. And root canals. And constipation. And floods, pestilence, famine, locust hordes, hangnails, strep throat, appendectomies, tsunamis, tornados, psoriasis, jungle rot, bad chili, swine flu, health insurance companies, and congress.

OH yeah. I'm like, SO ecstatic over All of the Above. deal.gif ph34r.gif puke.gif

Meanwhile, THANKS, Drumnj, for inputting the stream for tonight's game!

I forgot to mention, Aussie Wing, that I'm also jealous as hell that you're going to see the game.

What the hell. Enjoy down under there, mate. ;)

Draper/Malby are tonight’s healthy scratches

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...m_to_retur.html

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Update from Tuesday's morning skate at the HSBC Center:

Red Wings center Darren Helm will return to action tonight against the Sabres, after missing four weeks with a sprained AC joint (shoulder). Helm will center the fourth line, with Brad May and Patrick Eaves. Kris Draper and Kirk Maltby are tonight's healthy scratches.

"It's been a long time,'' Helm said. "I didn't get expect to get hurt in camp, but it happens and you fight through it. It gave me an extra month to get even more excited to get to this point.

"It (the injury) is not even in my mind right now. I'm just going to go out there and do what I've done in the past. Hopefully that works out and I'm fine.''

The other three lines remain the same:

Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Bertuzzi

Leino-Filppula-Cleary

Holmstrom-Abdelkader-Williams

Lidstrom-Rafalski

Kronwall-Stuart

Meech-Ericsson

Lebda (scratched)

Osgood (starting)

Howard

Wow, Drapes is out?

Like someone else said, Maltby and Draper were finally playing like they used to and NOW they get benched?

At the moment we're blessed with a bunch of depth. Like...a ridiculous amount. This is making it hard to decide who gets sent down, I bet.

About the game: Buffalo has almost no offense, so this is a good thing. But Buffalo has Ryan Miller, who is under 1 GAA for the season so far.

Let's hope the Wings keep playing like they did the other night and have officially put last season's style of play behind them.

I think its good to sit drapes and malts this game. Healthy competition between the checkers will only force them to up their play. Maltby and Draper won't be able to play like they did last year and expect to be on the ice in gmae night. With Helm Abby and Eaves bringing the heat all of the checkers will have to step it up. I like this move.

Personally, Draper and Maltby finally get off to good starts and they get benched?

Where was this healthy scratching when they were sucking?

Happy to see Helm back, though.

5-2 Winnnnnnn

We have more wiggle room this year than last year. That's probably the reason.

It has been proven and verified more than once that there never was a "Gordie Howe Hat Trick!"

Gordie himself once said, "Scoring hurts them more."

I believe Mr. Hockey actually did have one "Gordie Howe Hat-trick". What's funny is it bears his name, but there are probably a lot of other players who have earned many more than he did. Just shows the power of the media to shape the facts to fit their story.
