Forsberg

j/k

Haha, i cant believe people are still thinking hes going to come here. Forsberg has stated on a number of occasions that he would not feel right coming here after the whole colorado wings rivalry...although chelli was stated as saying he hates detroit and would never play for us....haha but i just dont see it happeneing.

Well, I agree, I do think some of the guys on the team could use a little bit of a verbal lashing, and I'm not sure there's anyone in the organization with that type of personality with the credibility to go with it... but the man is 100

haha touche, still think he couldnt hurt us at this point

I actually could only watch that replay once.....it was gross. Can't believe all his ligaments/tendons aren't blown out in his knee, it looked terrible.

Maybe, fingers crossed it's not the case, but maybe they'll reveal more significant injuries when they do further tests.

There are a couple of Griffiins who could fill in and do a fine job. Ritola? Looked great during the PS and is a typical Red Wing type of player. Evan McGrath? Been in the AHL for 4 seasons, is playing exceptionally well, deserves a shot. Maybe Newbury or Williams? Maybe Tardif. I say Ritola or Williams.

I like the Williams idea. It would be like he never left.

Just be thankful he's in hockey gear -- if that injury happened in a football game today, it would have been absolutely gruesome.

Update 10:10 PM: Mike Babcock told Fox Sports Detroit's Trevor Thompson that the Wings aren't sure who they'll call up yet, and Williams' broken leg was suffered near his right ankle.

Which is doubly bad in terms of not expecting him back before the new year.

I'm guessing the news will only get worse.

Remember the good ol' days when Abdelkader was headed to GR because the team had too many forwards? He's like a top 8 guy now. Is there another farm team below the Griffins I'm not aware of? Like when the Tigers gut Toledo, then grab someone from Erie? Does Bay City have a team or something?

does someone have a video I just keep hearing about how bad it looked so I want to see for myself.

On another note I was talking about trying to bring Shanny back earlier today, maybe now they have to actually do it. How did Ozzie do, it sounds like most all was Lebdas fault tonight.

Ugh, you just watch. half of our roster is going to be injured and somehow Lebda is going to get through the entire season injury-free. The Hockey Gods hate us.

"It is impossible to predict exactly how long it will take for any fracture to heal. Variable factors include age, sex and previous state of health and conditioning.

So should he have more sex or less sex in order to heal quickly?

You didn't know that's what they mean by physical therapy?

man...i hope j. will is going to be ok.....that look season ending to me. i could hear the cartilage ripping from here...(albuquerque).

but athletes are trained to take stretching a lot better than us common folk, so lets finger cross this one back in the line up before New Years.

on to the lebda bashing part of this injury report.

i like lebda....ok...ok....

i have always thought he had potential, but his defensive decisions cost way too much.

i have been thinking of this for a long time....

make him a forward.

i know....thousands of you are preparing to rip me apart for this...but think about it.

IF lebda continues to play for the wings after tonight....watch his style when he attacks with the puck in the OFFENSIVE zone.

he has moves...speed...and a good shot.

his problems have always been under pressure, and no one behind him.

having the "blind" appreciation of lebda for the past years, i have always notice that when he gets a feeling to attack the net, he makes GOOD things happen.

maybe his affect on the play when he attacks, is a direct result of him being a defenseman in the offensive zone and wrecking the opponents coverage application....i dont know.

but , yes.....lebda does need to try something different, maybe its a zip code.

remember...before you bash me...the wings brass decided to keep him on the team, and they have done a pretty good job of seeing talent.

so i am not crazy. well..ye..no i am not -ish. yes. ok. ok.

Hope Willy gets well soon. Saw the replay a few times and Micky kind of mentioned that it looked like the Joe Theisman break which was a compound fracture that ended his career.

Ugh ...

So Williams to the LTIR too ...

Maybe Cap Room can suit up as a 12th forward.

I have been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but at this point I wouldn't even care if we didn't get a bag of pucks for Lebda. Not saying any of the Wings had a good night tonite, but Brett was horrible. Maltby did a lot of nothing too.

Crap. Back on topic....I really hope Williams isn't as bad off as it looked on the replay.....man that was tough to watch.

Your wife was right, it was a fracture! And here I thought it was a knee injury...

She's pretty good at calling those. Geez, from the replay, I thought you were both wrong. I seriously thought compound fracture(s).
