The better team just lost to the luckiest team in the NHL tonight.

Pathetic. Florida had no business even being in this. Let them have it, they'll probably throw a parade and raise a banner.

I know this is silly, but I'd really like to kick the s#$@ out of Mickey York for running his mouth at the end of the second about the Wings perfect record when leading the Panthers after leading after 40 min. Why do Detroit announcers feel like they have to pull this kind of crap. Too many Wings shooters waiting that extra split second tonight allowing the opponent to deflect an otherwise good shot.

you have to score. Pretty simple. That was the case in dallas game too...do they ever learn?

It's not "trap neutral zone era" where team played for 2-1 wins...

Lidstrom/Rafalski on the ice for both goals against. That doesn't happen often. But Rafalski is playing the worst hockey imaginable.

And I know we had 9 and 7 goal games recently, but it's so apparant that we don't have much scoring depth. The Helm line was great but none of them have anything close to a scoring touch. Bertuzzi is lost out there, he looks like he forgot how to score. Holmstrom had a hot start but has cooled off and since that line doesn't get much offensive pressure he is not very effective. Zetterberg is awesome, but he can't have a hat-trick every night. I'm looking for Leino to step his game up another notch, even though he's been pretty good since he was moved up to that line.

Panthers had no business winning this game. But the Wings had no business only scoring 1 goal on all those chances.

I'm hoping for a Howard start. Osgood has not been too stellar in these OT games....

Am I reading that right? Howard over Osgood? Wings just need to find the back of the net more consistently, maybe scoring 2 or 3 goals would win us a few games.

Lame. Datsyuk's line is worthless with Bertuzzi out there negating offensive pressure by taking bad shots and holding onto the puck too long.

Honestly, I'd love Bertuzzi to get out of his slump but he can't do so at the expense of Datsyuk's production. It's like Babcock says about your best players being your best players.

Holmstrom is more of a hinderance than Bertuzzi. Holmstrom did nothing tonight, absolutely nothing.

Amen. Unfortunately Detroit doesn't have much choice than to play Bert with Dats, with three top 9 forwards injured.
