But between the attrition (Hossa, Hudler) and the injuries (Kronwall, Franzen) I am CERTAIN this team is going to struggle to even make the playoffs.

I was just going to say that.Just think of all the players that we are missing right now via free agency and injuries.No Franzen,Filpula,Hossa,Hudler and even Sameulsson (I mean s*** we can even use Sammy right about now).So it's going to be a long tough season.I had hopes for Leino and even thought Bertuzzi was going to be maybe a 20 goal contributer but that doesn't look like it's going to happen.Oh well! I really believe if we were all healthy and everybody running on all cylinders we would probably be right where SJ is right about now.

We can go back to the now deleted thread where I defended Homer against someone who kept calling him "ninety-sux"...

while that's a bit of an exaggeration (he'd still be the 3rd or 4th best player on about half of the teams in the league), he's not like what he used to be because he's past his prime.

We started playing better as the period went on, but the last 2 minutes or so were again controlled more by the Preds than the Wings.

Glad to see Miller get his first in a Wings uniform. Hopefully the other players get that kind of mentality for the 3rd.

Ok we won that period. Just need to have the same or better for the 3rd period. The game is still in our hands.

And Holmstrom is still the best player in front of the net, it's just right now considering his other winger it's just he isn't getting a chance to do what he is supposed to do on 5v5. He cannot skate, backcheck or forecheck and is even missing the few chances he usually gets in front of the net. Him and Bertuzzi are not a good pair, and I was really defending the decision to have them out there but it's too obvious now.
