Hockeytown_Ryan 122 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 Well the theory of "Keep shooting the puck and it will go in" has been blown to hell. I just wish they would score..... I dont care how or who..... One goal (that counts) would be awesome! maybe a sacrafice to the hockey gods.
thedisappearer 291 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 It was a whistle when the puck was never covered, on a play that we would have scored on incidentally enough. Looked to me like it was covered, but a Wing knocked it out of Kipper's glove. Either way, the ref did wave the play dead before the puck was in so I can live with it. That first call though... taxijim 11 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 I know I am Helm's biggest fan but is he not the best Red Wing out there tonite?
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 So I missed most of the game. 30-8 shots on goal. I take it it's been another one of those nights? Tired of this. Just score a damn goal already.
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 I'm beginning to think maybe it's more than just injuries that has this team down. Maybe they need a motivational speaker to come in and give them a big boost of confidence. Is Richard Simmons available?
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 I guess it was nap time. I see the Wings are sticking with the status quo, never scoring again. Cherish Drew Miller's goal against Nashville, fellows, that historic tally was the final one in franchise history.
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 The early whistle was actually justified. Or, atleast you can understand it. Does suck that we can't catch even the tiniest bit of good fortune. I have a good feeling about this game though.. I'm not convinced the Wings won't turn this around. Still expecting a goal from Pavel.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 We have 3 goals in this game so far. Two that were disallowed, and one by Datsyuk into his own net. The Datsyuk one was unfortunate, but your right.
Carman 387 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 2nd call is fine, that puck could of been anywhere. It just looks bad considering the Cleary call. Well the team is facing adversity who is going to step up?
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 (edited) When we win the game, it's going to be so funny. What if we don't win? That won't be very funny. Three losses in a row. Edited November 28, 2009 by GMRwings1983

commadore183 103 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 I can live with that call regarding the 2nd waived goal. The only problem I have is that the whistles for the opposing goalie seem to be very damn quick lately. Ozzie is keeping us in after a bad 1st period, but then again, he's faced only, what, 11 SOG? Wings need to do a better job of getting better scoring chances instead of shooting the puck mindlessly. This team is in one hell of a scoring slump if we've been shutout for 6 periods spanning the past 3 games. Hopefully, when the Wings score, it'll open the floodgates and lead to more goals for us. Seems like we used up our monthly allotment of goals after scoring 9 and 7 against the Blue Jackets and Ducks, respectively .

dropkickshanahans 463 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 We're just snake bit combined with bad luck. I just don't know how frustrating it could be for the Wings to outplay teams but can't bury the puck. I hope things turn around for us in the third and we get a couple breaks. Yes, I can see it now: Datsyuk - broken foot Zetterberg - broken back Cleary - broken fibula Lebda - broken stick but I'm guessing those aren't the breaks you're looking for.. Vladifan 680 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 We actually have bad luck, which isn't really any better. True, this. But they looked a little better in the second period. Or maybe they at least kept playing hard and mostly hustled. I want to think there's hope.
Vladifan 680 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 First goal was a BS call - the second wasn't a rip off. Agreed. For once, it was pretty clear what the ref had in mind. Check the skies...

Dynheart 42 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 Seems like we always seem to have a major brain fart for 15ish games every season. Thing is, it's always at the end of the season, not the beginning, and that's what scares me. For the most part we are dominating, just not having ANY puck luck whatsoever. Are we going through our "we suck phase" or is that still to come? No puck luck, 3-4 KEY players, not just a random player in the roster, but key players...injured...This is going to be a rough season. I still believe we will make the playoffs no problem, just maybe a 6-8th seed.
