May spark the team by beating up Crombeen, Jackman or even someone like Backes for all I care. Just get the job done

I expect May to fight someone just about every chance he gets, it's all he's here to do, intimidate and retaliate. His "hockey skills" do neither of those so I want him doing what he does best.

That said, he should not be doing it alone. It;s almost Dexember, and the Wings have ONE guy who has proven that he will do anything for the team, up to and including inviting men larger and younger than him to try to knoch his block off. I don't expect guys like Abs and Ericcson to be fighting every other game, but it's time they start asserting themselves and demonstrating a williness to bleed for this team, Bert too, it isn't like he's doing anything ese for us.

Our new guys and our young guys need to remind our vets that being part of this team is something special, as our veteran "leadership" seems to have forgotten it.

Oh we are for sure getting at least 2 in tonight. And I dont thing anyone is realizing that Meech made the great feed to Stuart last night that resulted in the goal that was called off. So give him some credit at least. Plus he isnt afraid to let it rip on the point which is what we need. I hope he scores tonight to shut some people up finally, both him and Leino.

Just out of pure curiosity, when was the last time Detroit was shutout for 3 consecutive games?

According to an article on mlive, if the wings don't score in the 1st period it will be the 3rd longest drought in franchise history. If we don't score at all this game it will be the longest stretch of time without a goal in franchise history. I typed it, so that means it can't happen now right? Just like talking about a shut out or a perfect game...

Well that's something to shoot for!

I want to see the following members fight tonight:

- May (preferably Crombeen)

- Abdelkader

- Ericsson (preferably Jackman)

- Helm (jumps Kariya)

- Cleary (preferably Tkachuk)

- Bertuzzi (jumps Mason)

This is gonna be bad. Whole team sucks at the moment. :(

The team doesn't suck. We've faced three hot goalies in three games (Rinne, Pavelec, Kipper), and it shouldn't be surprising to anyone that scoring goals on them is rough.

We've outshot every team in the last three games (31-25, 40-25, 40-17) and had more scoring chances; that's not the mark of a team that "sucks".

Yes, not scoring sucks. Yes, I wish we had won those games. But we didn't even though we played pretty well. It happens. Calm down, take a deep breath, and I promise that the Wings will win again this season.

That would certainly get teh rivalry heated up again.

I'd pay $10 to see Tkachuk and Cleary go - two tough guys who can throw down but don't very often.

This team needs a good brawl. Not just a quick, tactical fistfight, but a good multiple-fights-going-on-at-once brawl to get the juices pumping. Like the old days.

If that ever happened again for Detroit, only Blues/Ducks games appear heated enough for it...oh and the Pens ;) Im still waiting on Crosby v Datsyuk.

If they do there will be a new thread with this quote :P

It's very possible if we get the kind of reffing we've had in the past 3 games.

We score 2 but wait ... they're all waived off ??!!

What ... a total of 4 goals called off due to stupidity?

Detroit ends up a -1 in scoring tonight. The refs waive off more goals than are actually scored.

Cleary is not a tough guy by any means. He knows how to fight properly and does decent, but that's about it.

Jackman cross-checks Zetterberg 10 times, requiring back surgery.

No call.

This is probably not far off from the truth.

Never ever in the history of the franchise has this happened.

If we have defense problems with Erik Johnson on the ice tonight, Blues wins 3-1, with Johnson getting 2 goals.

If we shut him down, we will win 2-1.
