NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted December 1, 2009 What a class act Ryan Miller is. Absolutely. Not only did he go over and check to make sure the photographer was ok, immediately upon the final buzzer he goes over and gives the guy his goal stick which he got a shutout with. hooon 1,089 Report post Posted December 1, 2009 I was actually thinking just yesterday why if this has ever happened. Classy by Miller.... remember in the 08 off season when there was speculation the Wings might sign him? sigh.
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted December 1, 2009 Like hockey fashion, the photographer didn't miss a snap(shift)!

Datsyerberger 279 Report post Posted December 1, 2009 I'd take a bruised cheek for Miller's stick! My favorite active NHL goalie not named Osgood.
Guest VAL FILPPULA Report post Posted December 1, 2009 good to see. very classy by Miller
stevkrause 1,247 Report post Posted December 1, 2009 such a great goalie and a good guy to boot - classy move by Miller, especially when he did nothing wrong... really puts jerks like Ed Belfour in perspective...
Casey 145 Report post Posted December 1, 2009 Like hockey fashion, the photographer didn't miss a snap(shift)! Sports photographers are a tough breed. I was one in high school, know a little of what this guy sees. This is just a freaky injury, though. Getting tackled is something you expect. Having a foul tip break my cup was a surprise, but not unexpected. This is a million-to-one shot.
oldredbarnman 13 Report post Posted December 1, 2009 Just shows the skill level these goalies have, as they do practice shooting through the photographer's hole. But hey, where's the delay of game penalty? He obviously did it on purpose....haha. Classy move by Ryan after the game.
Yzerfan1999 81 Report post Posted December 1, 2009 Nice job by Miller. He just went way up in my books.
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted December 2, 2009 Love it, even hockey photographers are tough. Crazy, freak accident, kind of funny, but Miller just cemented himself as my favorite non-Wing goalie. Someday he'll play for the Wings...Drew Miller's signing was just the bait.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted December 2, 2009 Miller just learned from the Neidermeyer video... first you have to attempt to knock out the person or persons around the area you are going to give a stick before you toss it into the crowd. This way a fight wont happen. Kudos to Miller to defusing what could have otherwise been an ugly fight for that goal stick!

Vladiator 116 Report post Posted December 2, 2009 cheek bone vs frozen puck. OW! Yes it does. I caught a puck in the chin at Storm game that had to be closed up with 7 stitches. That's what you get when you take your eye off the puck though. The puck landed in the lap of the guy behind me but he felt so bad for me that he gave me the puck.
