2-3 Wings take the game over the Coyotes!

Is the backwards score a good luck thing, like the "4rd"?

Great win, but could have done without the Ericsson injury. Imagine what people here would have said if told at the beginning of the season that the 3 stars in a mid-December game would be Howard, Stuart and Eaves? Hehe.

Wonder if Larry Murphy's been skating for fitness recently. Might take a couple of days for Fetisov to get a work visa, and we seem fated to lose a couple more d-men before the Christmas break.

Eaves was gawdly tonight

Howie was great again

Bert played strong

I agree on the Newbury over Leino argument. Newbury works hard and adds grit. He picks up a goal right away and he will scrap.

3 game W streak WOOT!

GO WINGS!

I have ZERO confidence in Leino right now. Watching Z feed him just bums me out.

Yeah......makes ya wonder how the hell he performed so well last season as well as being the point leader in the Swedish Elite League. What happened to him? Did he just stop giving a s***?

ROOKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing happened to Leino. You're just failing to account for varying factors that affect play. Coming up in the middle of the season when guys are injured is a totally different mental approach to being a regular member of a pro team. I am not shocked at all that he's struggled this year. I've been saying it for awhile too, warning y'all when you scoffed at our scoring issues when everyone left over the summer. Leino still has a lot of skill, but he needs time to develop in the NHL. Don't give up on him yet. Again...

ROOKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not giving up on him. He just should be in the press-box, he doesnt work hard, or PK, and he's scored 1 goal since the 1st week of the season. Rookie or not, he doesnt deserve to be playing.

Discouraging that the Finnish Fail didn't even manage to register a shot on goal in 15 minutes of ice time. I'm not ready to give up on him and I'm sure the injuries have led to him being put in an unfamiliar position, which isn't helping. But he isn't helping the team right now and the team needs help right now.

Exactly! Our GM isn't a rookie. He knows when he see's something he likes. Fedorov, Lidstrom, Konstantinov, Datsyuk, Zetterburg, etc., etc., etc. Not saying Leino is one of the above but he must be a pretty important piece of the puzzle for all the faith being put in him.

Nah, I did that to be consistent with how the league does the scoring (you know, the visitor-home display :) )

And yeah, we could have done without Ericsson's injury. Just hope he isn't out for too long. This team is gonna have to call up peewee players if the injuries keep piling up <_< .
