I waiting for a left field report from Wings org announcing Leino sits out Filppula is in. I would rather have Filppula with his stiff wrist than Leino right now. I mean, if Flips wrist is strong enough to where no damage can happen and they are only keeping him out because his wrist is stiff, why not play him over Leino?

Hell!! we could just bring up another stiff for Lame-O right now and that would be an improvement, not just Flipper stiff wrist! I just do not think Leino is NHL material, but I am willing to give him a fair shake once the team gets healthy again.

If true, it is just stiff, then I'm all for it. Some play may loosen it up. I mean, Leino is playing with a limp wrist.

I have a feeling this game could be UGLY! Unless 2 of Chicago's big 3 have off-nights this lineup is going to have a tough time keeping the puck oot. Ozzy is going to have to be at the top of his game and the D will have to keep the crease clear of Hawks and rebounds.

Horrible lineup once again, im going to have to get used to this. As long as the wings don't get blown out, and try hard tonight ill be happy. I have a hunch bertuzzi is going to be added to that long list of injuries tonight for some reason. Also have a hunch that hossa is going to get laid out by stuart.

As bad as it is playing with three 4th lines, it was the 2nd PP unit that scared the hell out of me last night. Because it was, well, another 4th line

Is there an all star game that they didn't shut down the regular season games for? It really is frustrating. After a while it became almost comical, then the injuries started coming at Ludicrous Speed. But, we can still win this game because our Schwartz is bigger than theirs.

I find it funny that people are already making excuses like the Wings have already lost. Not that there not legit reasons or anything...

I'm giving us a 40% chance if Hawks play their best game. And a 50% chance if Hawks take us for granted. If Zetterberg was in the lineup, I would expect a win and anything less would be disappointing. I'm not going to cry over spilled milk if we walk away with a point tonight, considering the circumstances.

Losing Z was a huge blow, I was confident (by the we were playing with him in the line-up - w/ our kick-ass winning streak) Wings' would beat the Hawks. Losing Zetter is huge because we lost his complete shut-down presence. I'm not as confident that Abdelkader can shut down Toews or Hossa entirely. That said, I think he would destroy Kane with a blazing hit if Babcock get's the opportunity to putting him against Kane's line.

I want to see May, Abdelkader, Helm, Newbury, Stuart, Bert, Janik, Maltby to dominate the Hawks physically. I want them to destroy every top Hawk player like Kronwall did against Havlat last year.

I expect Datsyuk to play out of his mind tonight. Anything less from him at this point is unacceptable, especially at this game. We all know his potential.

Figure I'd post saying I don't think I'll be getting the FSD+ feed since I never do. However being that it's against the Hawks and I always get blacked-out for Hawks games I'm not really sure what I'll be getting. It is on WGN today, which I have gotten in the past, so it might be that feed...not sure though.

That injury report is brutal. Not to mention we only have one complete line or pairing of actual NHL players. Somehow...I still have a good feeling tonight. As long as Ozzie plays like we know he can the team will be in good shape. The one good thin about the AHLers is that they tend to work harder than anyone else. A combination of good goaltending and hard work is going to benefit the Wings greatly.

And frankly, I think Ozzie knows what's at stake and he'll be in playoff form for this game.

Unfortunately I have to miss the game, but I did wear my jersey that I wore throughout their winning streak. I didn't wear it yesterday because I had work in the morning until the game was over and they lost.

I rocked out the jersey and so tonight the Griffins will win. So it is written, so shall it be done.

Thank God you're not Mike Babcock. I'm pretty sure he doesn't dump Leino anywhere this season. Abdelkader will definitely go play big minutes in GR. Could be good for Helm too because he doesn't develop playing 4th line minutes here. Then next season we're gonna have the second coming of The Grind Line as our 3rd line: Abdelkader-Helm-Eaves. Then we've got Miller-Draper and a tough guy on the 4th line. 0-1 of Leino, Bertuzzi, Holmstrom and Williams will get a spot in the top6 next season. I'm already loving our future roster.

I went over to see if Hjalmarsson was playing or not tonight (love that kid's play) and thought I'd read their game day thread for confirmation of him in the lineup. Sure enough, Wings fans causing trouble. I facepalmed.
