Kronthewall55 14 Report post Posted December 22, 2009 this is great news, the boys are finally getting healthy again. although we have a long list of injuries to still survive through, i think this season might be what the wings needed. im not glad anyone was hurt but i think this forced them to light a fire under their butts and to get a little hungry again. losing to a few rivals through out the season i feel gives them more to play for come playoff time, to win some respect back. im feeling optimistic about the second half. That is what sucks about the Western Conference each year. Ever Conference game you lose it is a double whammy . All the teams in the west are playoff tough this year. He was playing out of his mind before the injury and I think he was downright pissed off about the injury. Unfortunately, the Wings are a little low in the finishing wingers department and we may have to hope either Leino pulls his head out of his ass (unlikely) or Filppula has spent the last 2 months teaching his brain to think 'shoot first' (equally as unlikely). I think that it's great. The Hawks finally beat us and even they can't brag about it because they beat a bunch of kids from Grand Rapids. What will really be sweet is when we bat them Wednesday...
