dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted January 4, 2010 Great job choking again Sweden Yep, although it was mostly David Rundblad choking, with a bit of Markstrom (the 3rd goal..) too. Eh, I kinda had a feeling this year's team wasn't quite strong enough. I hope USA takes the gold.

It's not through lack of talent.

Not sure.. we were really, really close 2 years ago. Before that we haven't been close since that crazy talented team on which Forsberg set the point record. Something was very wrong with our whole junior system for quite a while, but it seem to be back on track now. A gold should come eventually. Maybe when the tournament is finally played in Europe again.

Maybe I'm missinterpreting your response, but it appears as though you are suggesting it's been awhile since the tournament has been played in Europe, which isn't the case. The 2007 and 2008 tournaments were both played in Europe. That said, this year and last year were in Canada, next year is in the US and the year after will be in Canada again. Can't blame the organizers too much though, the tournament is a HUGE draw in Canada, much larger attendence here then what you see in Europe.

Yeah I was thinking of the fact that there's a couple of years in a row here with either the US or Canada hosting it. Canada is a difficult team to beat anywhere, on any size rinks, but on small rinks in their home country it's close to impossible.
