In the latest issue of the "Sporting News", Jeremy Roenick says: "They've played way too much hockey in the last five years." (I thought you just played the teams you're supposed to play?) "They're getting tired - the old guys are getting tired. They've lost some players here and there that made them strong. I think their run is coming to an abrupt end."

Anybody know what Jeremy's up to these days? Do we care? ph34r.gif

"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I think that his career will come to an abrupt end without a Stanley Cup.

Oh, wait...

Edit: I like this one too:
QUOTE
Roenick replied, "I'd like to know where Patrick was in Game 3 (a game in which Roenick had scored on Patrick Roy on a similar breakaway); probably up trying to get his jock out of the rafters." Roy retorted, "I cannot really hear what Jeremy says because I've got my two Stanley Cup rings plugging my ear."

Hudler!!

"If you didn't know him, and saw him without hockey gear, you'd never suspect Datsyuk to be a world-class athlete. He walks a bit hunched over. His gait is somewhat crab-like, almost like he's still skating, even on dry land.

But put him on skates and he's Houdini on ice. He is not the fastest skater by a long shot, but there can't be too many who are stronger or more flexible. Checking him has to feel like checking Gumby. You might get a piece of him, but he bounces away, moving faster thanks to the leverage he gained from your check."

He's just mad he didn't sign here when he had a chance. Probably eats away at him that he was on the verge of being on the team that won in 02.

If we aren't able to make the playoffs (which is a very real possibility), I'd say that constitutes as a pretty big fall.

Roenick also said Babcock is bias against American players last year.

It could happen, but its just one *******'s opinion.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, I'm going to mop the floor with your face.
I said, You'll be sorry.
He said, Oh, yeah? Why?
I said, Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well.

Apparently insulting teams/players with actual successes is part of his MO (see: Roy, Patrick). He's been off so far, let's hope the trend continues.

Ah yes. Point well taken. Who would know better than you about basing a whole thread on an opinion? That wasn't even yours? But you obviously thought it was hilarious while you were doing it so whatever floats your boat.

Here's an idea. If you don't like a thread, don't respond. It really helps. I've already decided to do that with all your stuff. Bye.

I'm glad this dirtbag never won the Stanley Cup.

People have been predicting a Wings fall for the last 5 years.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

I really like Roenick but I wish he would stop having opions, comments, or thoughts about the Red Wings.

If worse comes worse, we can think of this season as a bit of a slight stumble or a toe drag, not a fall. And usually after a toe drag a great shot follows, so we can only hope for an even better '10-'11 season. biggrin.gif
