Snapper/Wrister

Back-hand snap

Fore-hand to back-hand roof

Back-hand to fore-hand roof

Weird "wave my stick above the puck before scoring" move

One handed drag (was in game but i'm counting it!)

The change up/chip shot thing

His signature toe drag/pull move that seems to be Pavels own.

-Any of the first four can be 5 hole I believe.

Can any other player put up a list like this? I might be forgetting one or two aswell.

Anybody remember Pavel's comments from last year when he pulled his curl and drag move on Josh Harding? The reporter asked him, "You got a name for that move yet?" Pavel says, "Name?" "Yes, name." "...Goal."

Also, the YT comments keep talking about how it wasn't that impressive because it's already been done by Linus Omark. While it's true that the move has been done before, I don't think anyone has been able to pull that off at the NHL level. That makes it pretty impressive. Maybe not as impressive as the first one but it's still impressive.

Yeah, I always thought the spin-o-rama move shouldn't be legal in a shootout, since the player usually comes to a complete stop, backs into the goalie and flips it home on the backhand. But that's part of the problem with a joke event like the shootout, you have to create these fairly arbitrary rules.

Let me first say I thought it was a nice goal, so I am not trying to talk trash. However, according to the NHL rulebook, that goal probably shouldnt have counted.

84.4 Shootout - During regular-season games, if the game remains tied at the end of the five (5) minute overtime period, the teams will proceed to a shootout. The rules governing the shootout shall be the same as those listed under Rule 25 - Penalty Shot.

25.2 Procedure - The Referee shall ask to have announced over the public address system the name of the player designated by him or selected by the team entitled to take the shot (as appropriate). He shall then place the puck on the center face-off spot and the player taking the shot will, on the instruction of the Referee (by blowing his whistle), play the puck from there and shall attempt to score on the goalkeeper. The puck must be kept in motion towards the opponent’s goal line and once it is shot, the play shall be considered complete. No goal can be scored on a rebound of any kind (an exception being the puck off the goal post or crossbar, then the goalkeeper and then directly into the goal), and any time the puck crosses the goal line or comes to a complete stop, the shot shall be considered complete.

I see what you're saying....however in that case even a toe drag would be disallowed. I think that the general concensus on shootouts is that unless the player isn't moving backwards himself, then the play is still good.

Well I was confused about this to. The confusion comes from the part where it says "A continuous motion towards the opponents goal" When bert brings the puck around on the spin-o-rama he moves it AWAY from the net for a second before moving it around and back toward the net to shoot. Thats where the confusion was. It's all about how it's worded is all.

I tried making the argument that spin-o-ramas shouldn't count back when whoever the hell did it first in a shootout. I guess it just comes down to a spirit of the law kinda thing, because there's no arguing that, technically anyway, goals like that shouldn't count.

Anyone see the top 10 plays of the week on TSN? Like 5 of them involved the Red Wings, but Pavel's goal was too low and of course they chose an unspectacular Crosby goal as no1.
